Was not impressed with the grip. I purchased because of the recommendation of the manufacturer. I like the gorilla one on Amazon better for the price. Would not but again.

We have wood floors. I have purchased both this waffe kind and then the other kind for under rugs. If you have area rugs 5 x 8 and smaller, the waffle pad is the only way to go. The other kind allows your rug to slip (including runners) with smaller rugs.

Does the Job Well.
Perfect. Size as advertised. Thin as needed. Adds nice cushion underneath my new rug. Paired it with thin, printed rug in a bathroom. Pleased that both thin enough to open and shut a door on top of rug and pad. Rug does not slip with pad underneath, even when entering and exiting shower.

You can use the rug pad on carpet, but it best for hard surfaces. The best type of rug pad to use on carpet it is a felt and rubber pad. It will help decrease fibers in the carpet from getting crushed and breaking down. It is also well cushioned and will taper the edge of the rug more so than a normal rubber waffled pad for less tripping issues. Please see SKU 16895677 the "All-surface Non-slip Felted Grey Rug Pad".
