I cut the rug pad to fit under stair treads to give them a little more cushioning. Applied carpet tape to pad then another application of carpet tape to treads. Worked beautifully.

I had doubts, but this thin rug pad is good for keeping the rug in place. Great for places where you don't want additional thickness, like under a rug in front of a door. Easy to cut.

I purchased 2 of these runner pads at the same time. They were not 2'6" but rather 2'4" wide. I also intended to cut one since it was a couple of feet longer than needed and add it to the second runner where I needed more length ( you did not have a 15'10" x 3' runner). They were not the same item. It was disappointing not to have the same quality for both runners. I knew the longer runner was not exactly the width I needed but if it had been true to size it would have been a better fit. I am also constantly repositioning the rugs since they shift on the hardwood floors. They will do for now.
