I live in New Hampshire and unfortunately these mats are not strong enough to hold up under the weight of the car in frigid temperatures. Mine were difficult to place so the tires would grab the mats and in the process the mats broke into little pieces. I did manage to get unstuck but the mats alas did not survive. Great idea but not made strong enough to do the job in snow, ice and cold temperatures.

Good price, but breaks easily. Mats broke the first time being used.

Though these are sold for snow, I purchased them to have on hand year round. After getting my riding lawn mower stuck in mud, I wanted to have a traction strip on hand for the next mishap. The width of the product is accurately stated in the description, but I was still surprised at how narrow they are. They are perfect for my lawn tractor, but much smaller than I would need for my truck. Each traction strip has studs on both the top and the bottom of the strip to improve traction and they should function as described. They are made of hard plastic, but are also flexible enough to bend with the tire. I am satisfied.
