I bought these for my husband's office. Over time their lunchroom flatware had disappeared, so I didn't want to invest too much money. Everyone was thrilled with these. When they arrived the office manager was sure that they had shipped to the wrong address because she thought the quality was well suited to fine dining in our home, not lunchroom fate in the office! I definitely recommend this flatware.

We bought these as a gift for our daughter & family. There's 5, soon to be 6 in the family. Maybe we should have bought extra forks & knives. Beautiful. Great Price. Looks like they'll hold up for the long haul.

Very happy with looks, feel, shape. Was pleasantly surprised they are ROYal Doulton, although as usual, disappointed they are made in China. They will not be used until January , so I can not attest to how they will wash or hold up. Did not find scratches, or damage as some have mentioned. Pkg, was a bit tattered, but inside pkg . Was "ok" . Good value if they hold up. 1-17. So far we are thrilled with the set- nice weight- wash up nice- no rusting- or even water spots. Lots of compliments- price was great for the quality. Would consider for a gift.

Ordered second set well worth the cost

Everyone in my family loved these so much that my mom and sister bought sets too! I typically like using sterling silverware for formal occasions, but now I use these for formal events and everyday use.

Ordered this set of flatware to replace what was a complete set but over the years several items were missing. Badly needed a new set; didn't want dinner guests to have to use mismatched flatware. Best investment made in a long time. . .set is really very nice. Very good weight to each piece and very pleased with decision to opt for a 'shiny' finish instead of a flat finish -- makes the flatware look more expensive than it really was.

This item is perhaps a knock off of a more popular brand. It is good sized and reasonably weighed. It has a different company name on it other than St james, which makes me think this company either sells stuff under a different name or it's a knock off. Regarding quality, the look, weight and feel are nice. The only problem is the pattern stamping on the knives is of poor quality...in other words its not as defined on many of the pieces as it is on other pieces. Since Im using this as a supplement to my standard everyday dinner ware it work but otherwise, I'd send them back. Also shipping took up to a week longer than expected

Having 18 guests for Thanksgiving and only have silver for 8. didn't want the expense of purchasing additional silver so I ordered this set. It is GORGEOUS......I am so pleased with the shine, almost looks like silver. The serving set will also come in handy.
