I have used stove top pressure cookers for many years and love them. Using this took a bit getting use to, but once I did it was okay--it is very quiet so you don't have the same "clues" like swishing noise to let you know what's happening. Depending on what you are cooking, I found the 4 quart size small for my needs and now I wish I had ordered 6 or 8 quart size as I like to cook leafy vegetables and the 4 quart only accommodates 1-2 portions. I might eventually give this to my niece who is single and cooks for one person. Generally, the cooker is nice looking, heavy weighted and has options if you want a one-pot versatile electric cooker to free up your stove.
