more hot water than steam. must be towel dried.

The machine is well put together with lots of attachments. I like the fact one can use any pad to clip on to the steamer - not one that has to be specifically bought for the machine. It is a little complicated to pull apart but I am hoping that, given some time and experience, it will become easier. Right now it is a deterrent to just quickly use the machine. Hope it won't go the way of my bread maker....Steam force is powerful given the price for this item.
