Great smoker. Was easy to assemble. Easy to control temperature with the two burners. Since the purchase, I have smoked chicken, ribs and beef; all were delicious.

Read MoreI've had the smoker for two years now and have smoked lots of baby back ribs, turkeys, chickens, pork butts, etc. All have come out very good! I was able to buy extra racks to enable me to smoke 18 racks of ribs at a time! The double doors make it easy to swap out ash and wood chips without losing all of the heat. I highly recommend this item.

Read MoreThis smoker is HUGE! We use it constantly. It keeps a nice even heat and produces great smoke. Would highly suggest buying a cover for it immediately as you won't be moving it in and out very often--too big and heavy. We have smoked our own bacon, turkey, pork loin, prime rib, chicken. Everything has come out great!

Read MoreI received this smoker as an early Christmas gift. Cured it one night smoked in it the next. A hinge on the upper door came off while closing the door. Looks like not much more than the powder coat ever held it in place. My wife immediately contacted customer service and was told they would contact us the following day. Its day 3! We shouldn't have to chase them. Hopefully this one is just a fluke, it seems ok otherwise.

Read MoreMy family smoked St. Louis style ribs after following seasoning instructions and the ribs were great! I was very impressed with the size and construction. The only criticism I have is that there was no damper control on the chimney, but I remedied that with a fabricated soup can.

Read MoreI ordered this standard shipping on Sunday and received it on Wed before Thanksgiving (it was sourced only 2 states away). My son and I assembled it in about an hour and seasoned it for about an hour and a half Wed. eve. I put a 20# turkey in it shortly after midnight and by 11:30 we had the best Thanksgiving turkey ever. The smoker had plenty of room for the turkey and a pan of dressing on a rack under the turkey. The outside temp was about 40 degrees all night and the smoker held steady at about 135-140 degrees at the top-middle of the smoker. I also smoked 2 pork shoulder roasts for a football party and my only regret was I didn't smoke 4 and freeze the rest.
Read MoreAfter a lot of on line research I ordered this smoker because of the size of the unit. It lets me smoke 40 pounds of summer sausage with room to spare. This is my first smoker ,having used it several times already and am very pleased with the results. Today it is 30 degrees outside and have no problem maintaining temps. the thermometer on the door is surprisingly accurate, Assembly was simple, the only extra thing I did was attach 1/8"x5/8" door seals during assembly. I do not know a lot about other smokers but I like this one.
Read MoreI hesitated ordering this model smoker mosting becasue of the reports of units being badly damaged when arriving because of poor packaging. I'm glad to say the packaging was great with an inner box completely protected by 3/4" foam and slipped into an outer box. Assembly was simple and did require a bit of straighting of the water pan holders. The fastners are what you can expect from a China package. The unit heats up fast and holds a constant temp fairly easily. I do like the two burner set up allowing a greater range of temps. I maintained between 240-250 degrees with the burners set between low and medium with an outside temp of arround 35 degrees. So far we have smoked baby back ribs, a turkey and some venison jerky. The flavor is great and the capacity is exceptional. I fabricated a base with casters to help easily move the unit around. So far I am very happy with the purchase!

Read MoreThis is my second Smoke Hollow smoker. I own the 38 inch gas and love it but I dicided to upsize! It went together very easy but the regulator ACME nut was defective but instead of sending it back I just went and bought a new one to save time and hassel. (I will call Smoke Hollow and tell them about it ansnd see what they do if anything) I got all set up to season the smoker. I am a little suprised at the shallow water pan and the light gauge for the chip boxes. The 38 inch has a deerer pan and heavier wood box and lid. I fired it up and it went to 300 degreesin no time and had a rolling smoke well befor it hit that temp. I then started playing with the temp. I got it to 235 by shutting one burner off but was able to hold 250 with both burners on low. I then put in more wood and got a rolling smoke going, shut off both burners and held 135 for almost an hour with a good smoke going on! This is with an outside temp of 85 degrees with a light breeze and no meat in the smoker. O tightened up the three door latches as tight as they go and it held a good seal on the doors. The upper door sags a little and stayed away from trying to bend the hingge barrels for fear of breaking welds. The capacity will be great as I was limited to no more than a 12 lb turkey in my small one but I will get a 16 or 18 pounder in this one no problem! SO FAR VERY IMPRESSED WITH NO REGRET!!!!
