This table is everything it should be for the price. If your leaf doesn't match, then it should be sent back, because my leaf is the same style and edging as the table and fits fine. The size is 38" in diameter. That is only 2" larger than a 3 foot bistro table. If you want larger than buy larger. It arrived quickly in 3 boxes. Took about 20 mins to assemble. I probably could have done it alone, but my husband & I did it together. I think the finish is nice and even. It's very stable as far as I'm concerned. Something I really like is that I have a slate type tile floor that isn't perfectly flat. The leg have screw in rubber pads on them which is perfect because I was able to adjust the one leg so that it didn't wobble. Overall, I like this table. It's under $$$. Has anyone priced quality wood products lately?
I guess this is OK for a cheap table, but I would not recommend it to anyone other than a college kid. I apparently got taken in by the high number of excellent reviews. I don't know how this got such great reviews really, it's just a cheap, wobbly table with a poor finish on the top surface. I guess you get what you pay for!
This is a very attractive and sturdy table that is just right for two, where space is limited. With the leaf, which is 22 inches wide, in place four or more can be seated. The color (oak) blends well with our maple chairs.
We like the size of the table and the color. We keep it small and round so we have more space in the living room, and we use the leaf only when we have guests. I would recommend this table.
This fantastic little table is solid wood. There is the option of having a small 38" round table, or using the large leaf and seating six people. It is perfect for two or up to six people.
This is a great high quality table for the money. I received the table and had it put together in less than an hour. The assembly instructions were very clear and the table went together easily. I especially like the 22 inch leaf that fits in the middle of the table for expansion purposes in case company shows up unexpectedly. Although the top of the table latches together in the middle, it also unlatches easily to allow the leaf to be installed then latches back together securing the leaf in it's place. I would recommend anyone needing a high quality table that's adjustable encompassing a leaf to purchase this one. You won't go wrong.
My Simple Living Table came early this morning right on time with the date of delivery as promised. Awesome! This table is exactly as described and shown in the description. I’m so pleased with the Oak finish, the ease of assembly and durability I has. Love the pedestal base and legs. I ruined my real oak table in transit. I kept the 4 antique oak chairs I had recovered and they go exceptionally well with this table. I would for sure recommend this table too my friends and family. Looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner!! Thanks for a great opportunity to save my set. “O” can’t be beat!!
I am very happy with this purchase. We decided it was time to replace a less-than-ideal square table in our kitchen nook with something more appropriate for the setting. Being that the room is small, it is much easier to walk around this round table than our former table which had corners. It is constructed solidly...it is a substantial piece and will require two people if it needs to be moved. The removable leaf is a real plus...the table is a nice compact size without the leaf, and there's ample space for guests when it is in place. And, the feet are adjustable to remove any wobble in case the underlying floor is uneven - a good feature. The one thing I was surprised about (and this is because their is not a clear image of the table top in the listing) was that the table surface is comprised of short pieces of wood spliced together with "finger joints"...(look up images of "finger joint" on Google). At first I wasn't sure what to make of it - because I've never seen furniture displaying this feature so prominently. But, on second glance I had no issue with it. I knew from the photo that the table top was going to be comprised of short pieces of wood abutting in some way, and this type of jointing actually adds additional texture and character to an already nice table. It is is not without flaws; I discovered a few little cracks in some of the wood that make up the pedestal. But they do not detract from the soundness of the unit, nor it's appeal. And, I did not buy this as a showpiece; but rather as an attractive, functional table for a breakfast nook. And that is exactly what I got...for a very good price.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product however it is just a bit darker than in the photo, but that's fine. the pedestal, legs and table assemble easily and the table top goes from round to oval with the leaf. It does come in three different packages though so be aware you may not get them all at the same time. ;)
I received this table within 1 week of ordering. There was minimal assembly and very easy with instructions and inclusion of a tool. I've always been leary of "assembly required" furnature, but this was simple. Every piece fits perfect and secure. This table is solid and heavy. The finish is beautiful. I had been searching forever for a round/oval table to match my light oak antique chairs, without costing an arm and a leg.. This has been perfect for me.
I really like the size. It is perfect in that without the leaf it is small and easy to get around, yet the large leaf extends it to accommodate 6 people. The color was exactly as advertised and the base is sturdy.
This table was just what I wanted in size and style. The only problem was the top had a half-inch long dent in the finish and one area looked as if the stain had puddled and left a dark brush mark. I would have returned the table because of the damaged top, but unfortunately I had already painted the legs white to match my chairs befpre I noticed the top.
this table is exactly as shown and fairly easy to assemble. its a little smaller than i expected, but only by a few inches and is perfect size for us with the leaf in, so measure your space carefully before odering to make sure its the size you want. the biggest issue is the table did not close well upon assembly as it still had a bit of a gap when pushed together. but when we looked underneath we saw a few bits of wood (maybe for shipping) sticking out so we removed those and a few staples near a few of the joints and it went together with ease after that. i would recommend this to others with the above advice, it is overall a very nice little table.
Came in different boxes for table top and pedestal with some assembly required. Check that the legs are lined up when bolting them to the pedestal. Lifting the table top onto the pedestal requires two people or some ingenuity.
Love this table, purchased it for my Son and his Family of 5. It fit perfect in their dining space and gives them plenty of room for seating while having a family meal together. They are very proud of if, it is strong and durable.
The table arrived without the base and I called right away. The next day the base arrived. The table is not as big around so we have it made into a oval which is plenty big enough for us. We are very happy with the quality of the table and will be enjoying our meals on our new table. Also our table arrived several days earlier than we had first been told.
We had been looking for an oak finish round/oval table for a few years without success (except for $4,000. items). I must confess I had some oncern because ALL the other furniture in our greatroom is true oak, including the dining room chairs. When I first opened the box I thought "oh, this will stand out like a sore thumb" but within less than 5 minutes (no exagerration) I had lost sight of the difference in grain. Possibly because the shape looks so much more right in the room. Thank you Great Offer Stock for purchases that make life much easier and more pleasant and for EVERYTHING shipping for just $2.95, even an 85 lb. table.
In the process of downsizing, I had to give up my cherised solid oak pedestal dining table that sat 8-10 people. When I saw this table, I was immediately drawn to the pedestal as it was very similar to my other table. Upon receiving it, I was able to assemble it myself in about 10 minutes. The 'woodgrain' may not scream oak hardwood but is beautiful none the less. Very easy to take care of, in fact, much easier than previous table! A wipe and dry and it shines right up. No worry about scratches or stains. Love it!
Don't let the price fool you, this is a good solid and very sturdy table. Perfect for those that don't have huge dining rooms or need to seat a ton of people. Closed up it seats 3 comfortably and with the lead I have squeezed in 6.
I like round table. This was easy to put together. and the leaf is really so handy for making a family table. I recommend using placemats. I have no regrets on this purchase. Very happy.
