Super Good and Totally True
I have a rental property with an enormous master bedroom that needed a carpet. I fully admit that I scrolled past this rug a number of times and kept searching because I thought it was just too inexpensive to be a good rug. But it looked great in pictures. I needed it to be 10 x 14 and I just expected the prize of a good rug of that size to be far out of my reach. Finally, I decided that looking good in pictures might be enough and if it turned out to be really gross I could send it back after I'd had the room photographed. Not only did it arrive in my out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere farm house WITHIN ONE DAY it looked absolutely beautiful on the floor. Here's the best part - it feels really good. I walked over it in disbelief. I left the room and came back and walked over it again. I tried to talk myself out of the pleasure my feet were feeling. I had others try it. "Walk this carpet," I commanded. "Does that feel good or what?" Then I bought a nice, fat carpet pad and OMG it's so luxurious. I've had it for a week and I'm still stopping to stand on it in my bare feet. "$238," I tell my dog. "Can you believe it?" No, neither of us can yet here it is.

The safavieh amherst indoor/outdoor rug has held up quite well! We have been using this rug in a fairly busy room of our home (over a hardwood floor). This room happened to lead out to our deck, so our dog uses it quite frequently... Given the additional foot traffic, there is quite a bit of dirt accumulation. The rug cleans up quite well with regular vacuuming. All in all, a great area rug with good color!

I bought this for our outside covered porch and leave it out year round in our Oregon home. It gets the afternoon sun, the rain, tons of foot traffic as we come in and out of our front door. It's now 6 years old and still looking OK. It's getting a bit worn on the side that's most exposed to the sun and weather but for the price it's held up really well. It's not super plush, so if you want that, look elsewhere, but it's a fabulous rug for our uses. I will probably buy the same one again in a couple of years when ours will need replacement.
