Great rug
I bought this rug to replace a natural sisal rug in my living room that was nice in appearance, but scratchy underfoot and didn't hold up to my pets occasional accidents. This rug is thick with a nice tight weave. The color is a light brown with greenish undertones that looks very nice. It is a natural fiber rug so expect that it is not the sort of rug that you would sit on and be comfortable. The texture feels smooth but bumpy underfoot, and I like this-walking barefoot on it is like a mini massage for my feet. Although quality and appearance are important, the real test is being able to clean accidents that occur from my dogs. There have been a couple mishaps, but the rug cleaned without a trace by using my portable rug cleaner ( yes, I was able to use water) and drying the spot with a fan. I have had sisal and jute rugs in the past and they always showed the area that was spot cleaned and I ended up tossing them after a time. I chose the sea grass for the first time because it is from the sea and logic told me it should hold up to exposure to water when needed, and it does.

Great seagrass rug
This is exactly what I wanted. It is a resistant natural fiber. I have 2 big dogs and a roomba that vacuums every day. I had a different natural fiber rug before that was not handling the right traffic. That being said, it is still a natural fiber, so you will see some loose ends every once in a while. How I handle it? I tuck the loose end back and put a drop of super glue. It is seagrass, so when you get it, it will smell like hay for a couple of days. Also, it's a fresh seagrass and it definitely looks green when you receive it. You will probably freak out (like me), but give the fiber time to mature and the green will slowly evolve to a tan color. That is how seagrass behaves.

That rug really tied the room together - Dude
It's a great price for a rug at this quality that covers as much floor space as it does. I'm using it under a huge dinning room table and chair set on top of a cold tile floor. The rug really warms up the space with the natural fibers and truly does tie the room together. Only negative, as one would expect, the beige colored border easily shows dirt. I recently had about forty people over for a Super Bowl party and now need to clean the border. If you're placing it in a high traffic area, I may recommend the brown border version.

I absolutely love this rug. I put it outside in my covered lanai. It holds up very well with the florida heat and pool water close by. It offers a touch of elegance and a beach feel.

Returning rug. Lots of stray pieces sticking up. Not smooth as pictured.

Q:
-
A:
Pile Height (in.) 0.25 Product Thickness (in.) 0.31
-
-
Q:
"can this rug be used outside"
-
A:
No, this is indoor only
-
-
Q:
"My MIL is interested in this rug for her bathroom, but she's worried that it might get ruined by water. The description says nothing about how to clean it or whether it can handle wet. Would it work in a bathroom?"
-
A:
Rugs made from natural fiber jute, sisal and seagrass have a wonderful woven texture that allows dirt to fall through. Vacuuming the rug, and underneath the rug, is the easiest way to remove debris. In the case of a stain, natural fiber rugs can be scrubbed with a soft brush, but avoid getting these rugs too wet, as water can weaken the fibers over time.

-
Q:
"Is the 9 X 12 shipped folded or rolled up?"
-
Q:
"When will the 8x10 with beige border be back in stock???"
-
A:
Unfortunately we don't have a restocking date.
-
-
Q:
"Do the edges roll up?"
-
A:
No! Once the rug "unrolls" (about 24 hrs being set in place), the edges have remained flat since.
-
-
Q:
"Can you vacuum this rug? Can you use a small shampoo machine to spot clean if dog had an accident? thanks."
-
A:
Absolutely you can vacuum. Regular vacuum or robovac. No pets in my home so I haven’t needed to spot clean. I see no reason why you couldn’t though. I have 2 of these in my Lakeside home. They really help catch dirt on shoes before it gets on the floor. I love mine.
-
A:
You can but I feel like it's hard to get all the debris out of the crevices. The rugs are pretty heavy so they are hard to shake out.
