Bought 2 to match also-purchased dining room rug, for long hall. Pretty, nice and thick. Cats love them! Actually haven't put these runners down yet; still cleaning hall floor. Matching rug attractive and comfy. Pattern would be better if my d.r. were the size of a large hotel lobby, but I've adjusted. "Hand-tufted" to me meant knotted and tied: this rug is apparently glued to the backing, as when the cats scratch it, individual yarns come out. This would not happen if yarns were knotted behind the backing. But--the rug is very thick, and was cheap, and will probably look nice for a long time anyway. I was a bit surprised, as I did not know that rugs were sometimes made this way.
