Great work well saves time
Read MoreIt was a bit confusing putting it together for the first time. I was happy with the results of processing my tomatoes. The food mill removed all the skins and seeds from the sauce, saving me a lot of time.
Read MoreDoes a nice job with tomatoes but that's all I use it for. Only complaint is that the suction cup comes un-stuck fairly often.
Read MoreMade short order of about 200 lbs of tomatoes. Skins and seeds spit out one end, and the pulp out another side. Must have saved me an incredible amount of hours and hours of peeling and seeding. Putting it together for the first time it was a bit difficult but once familiar, it comes apart easily for cleaning. I even managed to get it back in its box. Highly recommended for serious fresh sauce makers.
Read MoreI found this press to be very good quality for the money -- stainless strainer and fairly heavy construction. I don't treat it like a commercial press but can run a fair number of tomatoes with no problem splashing or the suction cup losing it's grip. As with other presses I've used, one would want to run the skins through a couple of times but it does a very good job and saves a ton of time.
Read MoreIt was a toss up between buying the kitchenaid food strainer and meat grinder attachments, or the Roma Food Strainer. I was able to borrow my neighbor's Roma strainer and I made my decision right away to buy one for myself. It was so easy to set up and I couldn't believe how easy and quick it was to do a whole batch of plum tomatoes from my garden. Cleanup was just as easy! The food dish is so large. It accommodated quite a large amount of tomatoes at one time. The process was so quick and delivered a very nice looking puree. I am very happy with this product. You don't have to spend a lot of money on the electric machines. This one does the job!
Read MoreI am pretty happy with the Roma Food Strainer. I only gave it 4 starts becuase-NO Instruction Manual! It was not terribly hard to figure out, but I had a heck of a time getting the tomato screen back off. The plastic funnel needs to be re-engineered, and I will probably not use it because I don't see it lasting very long with it's cureent design. Mercifully there is a shop on ebay that sells replacement parts for it. I ran my tomatoes through 3 times, and I'm glad I did. I got a 3rd more pulp. And nearly no seeds. Tomorrow I'll be trying the berry screen, which is exactly what I bought the machine for, to de-pit blackberries.
Read MoreVery satisfied in every aspect of this purchase. I would highly reccommend thid seller to a friend!
Read MoreIm new to canning and preserving. It is one of my methods to stretch my food dollars. The Roma Food Strainer made processing gallons of cinnamon applesauce painless so I had special gifts for my family members. My only criticism of the Roma Strainer is that neither the suction nor the C-clamp base was sufficient to keep the strainer attached to the counter; however, as with most things, duct tape fixed the problem. Im sure there are appliances that process produce faster or easier, but for the price, the Roma cant be beat.
Read MoreI have stone counters and the suction cup worked FANTASTIC so, all the nay-sayers had me concerned for no reason! Because of the large screen on the strainer, the tomato goes through quickly so you really do need to send the scraps through a second time for sure, and probably a third time, too. My only disappointment is that the piston that actually moves the pulp through the strainer doesn't go back far enough in the cyllinder so there is some product loss because of that. In the big picture, it's not that big a deal when you are dealing with large amounts of product. You won't get more for your money unless you go very expensive. So go for it!
Read MoreDid a good job of straining ton of tomatoes from summer garden for making sauces for canning. It could be better in terms of ability to stay stable on the counter. Makes pureeing the tomato without seeds and skin a easy task.
Read MoreI was extremely happy with the product. I looked elsewhere and the price was double for what I paid. It came with a really good manual so was very user friendly.
Read MoreJust started canning this year and began by blanching my tomatoes, peeling, de-seeding them cooking them. Took all day. I will never go back to doing it that way again with this machine. It couldn't have been easier. Cored the stem area of the tomatoe, cut it in half , put it thru the Roma and within minutes was preparing my sauce. It was a learning experience doing the other way, but its best to work smart then hard. Only bad thing I can say is the waste funnel snaps on easy but does not come off easy and we were afraid we would break it.
Read MoreBought this strainer to try to save time canning my spaghetti sauce. Actually knocked almost 2 full hours of prep time. And was alot less messy than the boil and peel method. Has several different attachments available to help with other fruits and vegetables (at an additional cost). Can't wait to get them and try them out. A great value and time saver for the price! Love it, love it, love it!
Read MoreAlthough I haven't used this yet, I am excited to have it. I am a gardener and I also am a cancer survivor. I want to be able to make my own tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes which I will freeze....so much better than buying canned goods from a store....no preservatives and I KNOW WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN MY TOMATO SAUCE!! I had read the reviews about people having difficulty putting this mill together but I found it easy to do. Product was shipped quickly!! Thank you Great Offer Stock.com!!!!
Read MoreLove this sauce maker..... Manufacturer needs to make the assembly instructions a bit clearer.. Awesome product, Awesome results...... I gave 4 stars because assembly instructions were way off, took 20 minutes to assemble using the booklet, once I had it right it took me under 3 minutes to get it put together and set up and making tomato sauce... The saucer itself is a 5 star product....
Read MoreMy 7-year old grandson and I have had a great time making applesauce with the Roma Food and Vegetable Strainer. I have used other food strainers but none was as easy to use as this one. My grandson can assemble and disassemble it by himself. He is also able to use the strainer to process the apples. It was such fun that he did the major part of making a box of apples into applesauce.
Read MoreProduct was just as promised. It was a little difficult to assemble the first time, but not a problem after that. It works great for baby food and preparing other foods for canning and freezing. Recomend this purchase to others.
Read Morethis is an awesome product. does exactly what it says, and is sturdy...lots of parts to wash, but well worth it, when u have bushels of tomatoes to pulp...actually I invested in the extra strainers from *****....thanks Great Offer Stock for selling this product at a decent price! Thomas E.
