Bench was fairly easy to put together by myself and I really like it but the top ended up warping which saddens me. It is in use in my laundry/mud room so not in plain sight.

The wood split while I was putting the bench together using the crappy instructions provided in the package. The instructions have no words - just one picture showing how all the pieces fit together. No guidance on the order things should be put together. The fact that the wood is such poor quality is the real disappoint. Do not waste your money.

This bench is used in our garage in an attempt to minimize the mess our boys, my husband included, make when coming back in from outdoors. Our foyer is rather narrow so we added this piece to our garage so it didn't dwarf our entryway. It's very well made and super easy to assemble.

As long as you have someone to assemble this who is great with iconographic directions, you'll be perfectly happy with it. The directions really are a joke. My genius son put it together only to look down at the floor and see a pile of dowels sitting there. The directions never give any indication as to when to insert the dowels. We had to almost completely disassemble it in order to insert them. Bother. Finished bench is great. The bottom of the cabinet at the top is flimsy but I don't plan on putting anything in there but gloves and scarves so it's not a biggie with me. The size is what sold me on it and it fits perfectly.

It works very well. Easy assembly, just as stated.

Got the reddish wood colored bench and it's gorgeous. Looks like I paid much more. Fairly easy to put together and very sturdy. Might have to be another. Great buy if you're looking for a bench for a hallway or I used it as a coffee table for awhile!

It was very easy. This was my first piece of furniture i assembled all alone .It is a sturdy. piece also.

We use this bench as an entry bench and it's great! It was quick to put together, and it 's great for shoes and other small items.

We bought two of these. One arrived with a crack but Great Offer Stock replaced it promptly and we donated the slightly damaged one to Habitat for Humanity who has handy people to make slight repairs to the donations they sell at ReStore. Complete assembly is required and it's a little tricky so have two people to handle it. The results are very sturdy. The wood is heavy, paint is bright clean white. There are a few rough places in the paint. The storage is very useful and the lid has a hinge that props open as needed. We use one in the entry way and one in the bathroom. I'd get a third if they weren't such a pain to assemble.

Nice size, not too big. Fits a few pairs of shoes. Little storage space is a nice touch.

Great for bedroom....put comforter and pillows on at night

This is a very sturdy bench. It is small but good to get your little ones shoes on. My only warning is that you cannot put shoes under the bench and the space between the bottom shelf is small so you can only put shoes, no boots, or even kids boots. The top is great for storage or all hats and gloves! Overall super buy for $**

The piece was cracked when I received it and not as sturdy or large as it looks. It is fine for the mud room but I would not necessarily use it in a nice living space

Easy to install however i was disapointed that the top part which is the most important came badly damaged. Other than that it looks great!

Assembly was not difficult, but the instructions consisted of a parts list and one diagram. More sequential instructions would have been quite helpful. The bench is really nice, solid and good quality.

This item Was easy to put together. Not as big as I thought but good product.

Overall I would say this piece is just ok. Assembly was not difficult however they provide pictures only with no step by step directions. The finish is a greatcolor but not done well. The lower shelf is not stained on one edge. For the cost and inconvenience of taking it apart to ship back I decided to keep it. It looks just fine .

Missing 1 bolt anchor, apparently wasn't installed prior to shipping. Assembly slightly difficult, but other than that, I'm satisfied with product & delivery

Love this bench. Only problem was it was a bit confusing to assemble due to no written directions. After the third try it was complete.
