Recommended I have been using Lenox Butler's Pantry for the last few years. They crazed from the start and have been discontinued so finding replacements is a pain. I just happened to run across this on Great Offer Stock. First off, the dinnerware is beautiful and will coordinate with my remaining Butler's Pantry well enough. Unfortunately, you do have to inspect each piece thoroughly to make sure that there are no marks or pits on them. I purchased 7 sets in an attempt to make 20 5-piece place settings and I'm not quite there yet. However, Overstock's customer service has been wonderful and I feel the remaining sets will be made whole in no time. Note that there are 3 small marks on the bottom of each dish where there is no glaze (except for on the cup). This does not concern me in the least. The dishes are a nice size and weight and do not appear to mark due to my flatware. The soup bowl is a little shallow, but will be great for pasta or salad as I prefer to use salad plates for dessert or small meals. The dinnerware is a nice creamy color. I will be using these daily, but they could certainly be used for a more formal occasion. In addition to the 5-piece place settings I have also purchased the completer set, mugs, and cereal bowls. I cannot wait for the rest of the pieces to come in and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
