Don't confuse this with the "Premium Hard Surface" which I previously purchased and thought I was purchasing again. I did a search for Premium Rug Pad and than looked for the right size. If I had expanded my search I would have noticed everything carries a Premium, Supreme or Ultimate designation. This is half the thickness as the Premium Hard Surface. Stated size is 3'x5', actual size is 2'10" x 4'10", maybe it shrunk due to the heat in the back of the UPS truck :)
Holds down my rug and adds cushion under my feet! Love it.
Very nice rug pad. I wanted protection for the floor and comfort under our feet. Good buy!
This rug significantly improves how the rug feels under your feet.
It is nce and thick and comfy under feet
this is listed as 2 feet and it is only 22 inches wide and it is 3.5 inches shorter than advertised. very frustrated with this brand - bought a different size of this brand and the same problem - size was not accurate
This is so soft under my feet which in the pass would hurt when I walk on the carpet
This pad was thinner than I expected. It's only about 1/8 inch thick. Maybe I didn't read the description closely enough. It has a good non-slip backing, but it does little to add cushioning under the rug. I just wanted to let others know so if you're looking for a soft pad, this is not it. It's fine if you just want a good non-slip rug pad though, much better than those waffle weave ones they sell at discount stores..
This rug pad isn't the thickest rug pad I've ever seen, but it does appear to be made to last quite a while & does provide some nice cushioning. The floor side has a grippy rubber surface, and the rug side is a thick felted mat that holds the rug in place quite well. The pad does come a little oversized & will have to be trimmed down to your rug - since hand made rugs can vary quite a bit, this is a very nice feature. We've purchased these pads a few times and now intend to install them room by room.
I purchase this for under a long hallway runner which was placed on a wood floor. This is a very high-traffic area and I was fearing I'd be adjusting our new runner constantly. In about a year, I've had to adjust it only about an inch to one side, which amazes me. It makes our runner feel cushy and wonderful under our bare feet, but more importantly, like I said, the rug has STAYED PUT!
Does the job of keeping my rugs and carpets in place on hardwood floors. I have several dogs so have a lot of area rugs to keep the dogs from slipping and to protect the floors. I wanted something to keep those rugs in place, and this does the trick perfectly. I've used them under both thick wool pile rugs, flat woven kilims , and they work for both. The kilims will still bunch up a bit and get the corners turned up, but overall they stay in place and I can vacuum without as much pulling up of the rug into the vacuum cleaner because of the grippy upper surface of the pad. They do NOT provide much padding at all, so if you are looking for a cushy feel these won't work for you. My rugs still move around a tiny bit when the dogs really run across them at full speed, but not much at all. I adjust them every few days instead of constantly! One tip: If you want to use it under a flat woven rug like a kilim, be sure you trim them so they are very close to the edge of the rug. I trimmed mine in a few inches all the way around and it leaves a noticeable line in the carpet which will probably increase wear at that place.
Great price and holds the rug without slipping. We cut two feet off it and used that for a throw rug.
If you are looking to keep your rug from moving, add slight cushion, add minimum height on a hardwood floor- and for a good price- buy it! I have bought for a 9x12 wool family room rug and a chunky fiber 8x10 kitchen rug and am very pleased. I have used various pads under various rugs on hardwood floors (typically bought what was sold with the rug) and feel this is the best type of pad for rugs I have and the floor. Delivery was fast, no smell to pad. Makes me realize mesh type pads are cheesy.
Exceptional quality. Nice and thick on your feet and really makes a difference on how soft your rug feels keeps the rug in place too without any slipping
Most people don't want to spend much on something that is invisible and largely unnoticed. In this case, this pad is well worth the money. Not only does my rug stay put, the pad helps protect my hardwood floor from anything that might sift through the rug onto the floor. (I have big dogs that do everything in a big way. Eat. Roll. Run. Chew. Throw up. Etc.) So far my floor is protected, the rug feels softer, and I'm pleased enough to plan to put this pad under any future rug I might buy on Great Offer Stock.
The rug pad arrived today and is 28" wide rather then 2' as the product description explains.
I really like this felt pad. It is thick enough so that it makes a rug that is "pile height challenged" seem more plush. It is very cushy under the feet! Also, it stays in place. Yes! It stays in place! I have two dogs, one of which is 70 pounds, and they play in the hallway where the runner is. It doesn't even budge!
I love this pad underneath our short pile rug. It makes it feel more luxurious and padded under your feet. Keeps the rug in place as well. Ok with our wood floors too.
I bought a 18' long runner that kept moving around my wood floor and wouldnt fully flatten out. Bought this and trimmed off a couple feet to fit and it has worked great. Added a nice cushion feel, and helped flatten out runner rug.
Great rug runner. I placed this one under a runner in a galley kitchen. Provides much needed support under my feet!
