Rough felt, like it was melted I decided to use it latex side down since it claims it won't hurt the hardwood. But worried as I've heard not to use latex on hardwood. Wanted to put the felt side down, but it's very very rough textured and would be like sandpaper on the floor. I've had better rug pads for less.

4' rug pad Ordered this for a shag area rug that lays next to a bed. Adds the right amount of cushion for a nice "step out of bed" feeling. Holds the rug in place and.....the dog seems to have found a new favorite place to sleep.
