I will only use enamel coated cookware b/c of health hazards associated with toxic non-stick cookware; ease and practicality shouldn't be exchanged for one's health! With that said, I had been eyeing this pan for its enamel coated cooking surface, not its exterior. It is quality made, heavy and with good helper handle, it compares to my more expensive Le Crueset and Staub cookware collection. Unfortunately, as many of this type of cookware have its manufacturing defects once in awhile., mine had discernible bubbles cooking surface, one of which was pronounced to the touch, knowing how enamel will craze, and chip with continued use. This is a manufacturing defect, a QC oversight, but I'm not willing to wait and find it becomes unusable. Sadly, I returned it.
