I bought two of these to be extra seating for my tiny NYC living room, and since they'll get seldom (and light) use, I cared a bit more about appearance than comfort. So while I can't vouch for durability or comfortability (although nobody's complained yet), I will say that these ottomans are far more attractive than the picture conveys. I was expecting them to be sort of bland and cheap looking (which I expected, given the price), but was pleasantly surprised when I pulled them out of the box. The picture makes them seem like they'll have a bit of a sheen, but I think that might just be the photography because they're not metallic at all in real life. The nicest surprise of all is that the fabric isn't a one-toned gray. Instead it's sort of like a marbled (not sure if that's the right word) gray, with several different shades, giving it a subtle rich-looking tone. I suspect this multi-colored aspect would also disguise dirt very well if you planned to use them as ottomans. I keep these stored under my console table, so they're very visible, and I like how they look like an intentional "nice" piece of furniture rather than a cheap afterthought.
