Can't ignore this piece
Got this metal mask to go at the end of a alley kitchen in a studio apartment. It ties in PERFECTLY with the colors of the Handmade Metro Puzzle Black Wool Rug we got for the living area. I am in no way a professional decorator - calling me an amateur would be a compliment. But this little piece make me feel like a pro because of its ability to pick up so many hues of the colors I am using. The primary colors are green, blue, and brown, but the hues of each color offer a million different color schemes. For instance, the green goes from pale to lime to moss, the blue goes from baby blue to aqua to teal, and the brown goes from gold to sienna. So, while I thought it was a little expensive at 2x the cost of other Haitian metal masks, the colors made the decorating options at least 5x as fun. It's a great size to put in a transitional area to carry a color scheme through a living area into adjacent rooms. And the metal "hair" is just too funny and cannot be ignored. This was for my son's place, so I thought I was stuck with navy or black or red. But since he's done mission work in Haiti, he was OK with ordering this mask. Now that it's here, he loves it!
