Purchased this piece in antique white.
Build quality is excellent with quality hardwood and a strong powder coated metal frame. It's all held together with 28 bolts with inset threads. Very strong, about 70-80 pounds. Four small plastic feet on the bottom to help prevent hardwood damage. There is a small bit of MDF used for framing the molding at the top and also some used to brace things together but it is mostly solid woods.
One shelf was shipped with a stripped thread however it does not really affect the piece.
Aesthetically pleasing. Antique white is not as bright as picture however it looks great and shows off the grain of the real wood. As others mention, the bottoms of the shelves are not painted but this does not matter unless you are really looking for it.
There is no piece covering the top molding so if you do set something on top of it, expect it to drop about 4 inches until it hits the bottom board of the top molding. This top cavity is also not finished. It would be very easy to DIY a "cover" though.
Very happy with the purchase, would purchase again. Minus one star for the shortcuts taken and broken shelf thread.
