Yes, my body loves this mattress. In fact, I very recently moved into a small cottage and my full-size InnerSpace was just too big. What to do?!
I looked at other similar foam mattresses, here and on "A"--all under $***--and probably read 100 reviews altogether.
My final decision? Well, yesterday, I did some "surgery" on my full-size
mattress and converted it to a twin! With some good tips from a friend who used to re-upholster furniture, I cut off about 12" of foam, and a section of the cover; which I will have to restitch later. So, last night, I placed my "new" InnerSpace twin on a wooden-slat twin frame I had already assembled...and slept like a baby!
I'm telling my story here just to share exactly how highly I value InnerSpace products. I'm in my mid-60's and have had some (more or less) minor lower-back injuries over the years, plus 35 yrs as a Dental Hygienist. If my back didn't get really good, solid support I suffered. And that is where this mattress shines! When I first got it, it made my hip-bones ache a bit, but just 1" of memory foam and a med. density mattress cover and I was in heaven...after many years of generally mediocre sleep.
My mattress is nearly 9 yrs old now. I flipped it every 2-3 mos and there are no saggy areas or indentations. You may or may not need the memory foam, but it does add a nice cozy feel; just do NOT go thicker than 1" to 1.5" or you will definitely compromise the support.
I can assure you, with 100% confidence, that this mattress and the inexpensive modifications, you will not be able to exceed the support and comfort you receive without spending several thousand dollars!
Lastly, my mattress has been 5.5" thick since new; I weigh 160 lbs and am primarily a side-sleeper. Make sure you also have a good, comfortable/supportive pillow that keeps your cervical spine straight.
