This is the second mattress I bought. The first one I bought was a medium, and it felt a little more firmer than your "average" medium, but it worked. The package is 63 pounds, so unless you have hardwood floors and can drag it to your desired room, you might need two people to pick it up, because its just an awkward long tube. It came on time and the two guys that delivered it were super nice and brought it into my living room for me. From there I cut open all the plastic and cardboard and let it air out for about 12 hours (even though it says 24-48 hours - I measured it at hour 12 and it was 11 inches). It does have that plastic-y smell, but it isn't unbearable. I just left the window open for a few days with the fan circulating the room. (Live in California, so I was able to leave the window open.)
Onto the second one. I moved, didn't want to drag a heavy mattress across the state and since its such a great price I figured I'd buy a second one, but this time the soft, because the other was too firm for me. The soft literally felt NO different. After sleeping on it for less than a week, I had to buy a mattress topper. (If you need one, the "Best Seller" mattress topper on Amazon is AMAZING!). My back had been hurting so hard, I had to get it. Which totally sucks, because with the mattress, warranty, and mattress topper I have now invested over $600, so its not like I can just get a new one. So, I give it 4 stars. I love the size, and the durability it feels. It doesn't seem like its going to dip over time like other mattresses do. I just wish that Firm was Firm, Medium was Medium, and SOFT was SOFT. Eh, you get what you pay for on a website without testing it out first. If you're looking for something to use in-between apartments and move around a lot, I'd go with this. If you are set and are looking for a long-term, I suggest going to try out other mattresses at stores first.
