First, let me say that the colors of this chair are a lovely cream, with charcoal, eggplant, and light olive green print, NOT yellow, even though this comes up in the sidebar of the screen when looking at chairs with yellow florals and stripes. I love the green, but it is NOT the yellow I thought I was getting, but it will do.
Next, it is a great size and very nicely upholstered. I love that it's made in the USA.
It is not a SOFT chair, it is very firm. I weigh 130 lbs and I don't make a dent on the seat cushion. I perch upon it. Maybe with time the cushion will relax a bit? I am hopeful.
The worst part of this chair is the packaging that comes STAPLED TO THE FRAME AND FABRIC!! Not only is the protective layer of lightweight fabric stapled to the hardwood frame, the CARDBOARD is stapled to the frame as well! I had to use needle-nosed pliers to remove over 45 staples from the frame of my chair! They didn't just pop off, they had to be removed with pliers.
I'm pleased to say they didn't mar the upholstered fabric, but the underside of the chair is a mess now.
The chair comes with layers of packing fabric (lightweight interfacing material), bubble wrap, cardboard, and plastic. I applaud the company for being cautious, but would have preferred tape to staples.
Overall, it's a great chair, and it looks and feels right in my dressing room. I'd recommend it, but be prepared for major surgery getting it out of the packaging!
