This light is incredible! However, be advised, it is definitely large and needs at least 36" vertical space and then even more if you plan on displaying the suspension chain. It is fairly heavy. I installed an expansion thread brace(approximately $12 from Menards) for large chandeliers or ceiling fans in the ceiling between the ceiling joists rated 20 to 45 pounds as I did not want any concern about this coming loose from the ceiling. This required a suitable ladder, hammer, nail punch, cold steel chisel to cut a circle about 4-5" in the plaster ceiling, then a wood chisel to carefully remove lathe board. Then I used an LED light and mirror to inspect the space above the plaster ceiling, identified the wires and joist locations and then inserted the expandable lamp joist brace to clamp securely against the joists, then threaded the wiring through the suspension mount. If you have a sheet rock ceiling, this process is significantly easier.
