U want a 9 inch mattress if u want the decor of buttons to show up on the day bed. 10 inch mattress would partially hide bottom row of buttons. 11 inch would totally hide bottom row of buttons. Hope this is helpful!!!

Love this day bed. Looks awesome. Great quality for the price. MUST use an 8 inch mattress on the top and I used a 7 inch mattress on the bottom trundle.

Daybed is very appealing, and greatly serves the purpose for the space we have. This was an alternative for having a queen size bed in our guest room. We loved the tufted comfy look of this daybed. The quality is good, Not great....but for the price, you can't expect perfect. We did use a twin XL mattress for the top main seating area and a twin mattress for the bottom trundle. We already had these newly purchased mattress in our home and put them to good use. It is super comfy and we are very pleased with it. One point to bring out.... When assembled the arm area on one side of the daybed seems to not line up perfectly after assembly. Not sure if anymore else had this problem, but not big enough of a concern , especially after going through the whole delivery and assembly process. We felt if Still looks very nice.

Poor quality
The daybed looks nice in pictures but it was made of cheap materials. **** has better quality. I was concerned that someone heavier than me (I'm small) might break the bed. The fabric was not upholstery quality. Very thin. You could see the black felt that was used to covered the other areas when the mattress was in place (I used an 8 inch mattress). When I put the trundle together, it was defective and crooked (I'm pretty handy so it wasn't a problem with correct assembly). I ended up having to return it. I also bought two mattresses from the O to go with this. I opened one when I had the main part assembled. Great Offer Stock would not return th open mattress despite their defective product and I hadn't even had the mattress for 24 hours so be careful!

Easy to assemble however falls apart the screws keep coming out it pops out on one side at the slightest touch very over priced for the quality of both the daybed and trundle

I love this unusual and inviting daybed. I get so many compliments on it, as it is so close to a sofa styling, most people have to jump on it to see how comfortable it is? It is very comfy, and all guests approve! It was fairly easy to assemble. It took me about 1 1/2 hours, going solo at it. Sooooooooo happy with the purchase

Due to misleading pictures, I accidentally ordered the bed without trundle, I was able to receive free return & re-ordered however, after my husband put it together, we noticed a small tear. It’s small & not worth the hassle of returning , but I’m disappointed. I thought due to its high price compared to the others, that it would have been better quality. Other than that tear, it does “look” nice, we will see how long it lasts. At least it’s just a guest bed. 2 stars because it looks nice & free return from previous order.

About 2 hours. Fairly straightforward except the larger back panel can be a bit hard to get the bolts aligned and threaded in. It's important to get it hand threaded in order to avoid stripping the bolts.
