Elkay ELG2522 E-granite 25x22-in Single-bowl Top Mount Sink
Great looking sink, not too heavy but harder than granite. I can't see how it will chip or crack given my install experience. As a drop in sink you need an opening that is EXACTLY the right size as there is a lip on the underside of the flange on this sink that is exactly sized to the dimensions quoted. Why is that important? ... well, your current sink may not have required an exact size opening (i.e. bigger flange, no annoying lip, etc.) and thus your opening may be a quarter inch off on one or more sides. This was my experience and left me with two options - grinding 1.5"+/- thick granite or the lip on the underside of the sink flange - I chose the latter. I used the grinder attachment to my Roto-Zip and it worked fine - just had to be careful. This whole process obviously made the install take a lot longer but it was worth it in the end - just know what you might be getting into. This is a 5 star sink that looses points for being too precise for my counter - I can't penalize my granite guy so I have to take it out on the sink!
This sink is deeper than standard so you should plan on new plumbing rather than simply reconnecting the existing plumbing fittings.
