I don't believe I've ever written a product review in my life, though I know how much I depend on them and was really taking a gamble when I could not find reviews on this newer release item anywhere. So I hope that by sharing my review, it might help a couple who might be in our position when looking for furniture!
We have a gray crib, and were looking for a dresser our baby could grow into, vs. blowing extra money on a temporary-use changing table. We knew $***-**** for a crib was way out of the question, so we decided to lower our expectations in terms of quality and durability and take another look online.
The gray and white contrast of this crib was extremely appealing, especially since it looked like the gray would be a near perfect match to our crib color.
We ordered it last Saturday, it was delivered Friday, and we just finished assembling it. My husband and I tackled this as "baby bonding time." Here's the bullet-points of the review, since this could get really wordy otherwise. :)
* Not all sides are finished, which you'll notice during assembly. Everything you see when in use will be, however.
* Not all of the holes are drilled to specification, so you'll have to get creative and make some mid-assembly adjustments. You'll also have to finish poking some of the holes that weren't drilled all the way through.
* I wanted to attach a photo, though I see now that I cannot. Beware: the drawer depth does NOT match the depth of the dresser in general. There is at least 4 inches of wasted space in the back of the dresser that could have added substantial extra storage in each drawer. Major bummer.
* There are approximately 1,786,523 parts to assemble, including buckets full of screws and other knick nacks. Please, please do not try an assemble this in one sitting. We took 2 hours last night and another 4-5 hours today. We had to straighten out one of the fasteners that somehow came totally bent, and it's just an extremely time consuming process overall.
* Quality is so-so, which we were expecting because of the price we got on this, especially after an extra hefty coupon code I found.
*Overall, this will serve it's purpose without breaking the bank on something this little kiddo will probably start beating on once they reach the mobile/toddler stage anyway. :) It's overall size is nice and large; we just feel quite gypped on the drawer depth. Other positives: The price was right, it was shipped and arrived quickly, ALL parts arrived (even some extra screws and bolts), and nothing was damaged. :)
I'm going to search for alternative knobs for the drawers that are more nursery-friendly, though we'll keep the metal ones that came with the dresser for a more mature look later on.
I look forward to reading other reviews of this particular product in the future from others!
