  "Once the umbrella is in the stand it is very flexible and moves a lot. is this normal? Doesn't appear to be going anywhere and we have had some breeze in nevada but not any significant wind (which i would take it down here) just feels like once the umbrella is in the stand pole where you insert the actual umbrella shouldn't have that much flexibility or is that a good thing?never owned one before."

    With my half umbrella it is not great at holding the weight and tends to lose balance. I would not try it with a full umbrella.
