Otherwise, it is quiet - though the remote control rattles at the back of the tower. The air flow is gentle, I would use this for small spaces or place it near to those using it. The timer is a nice feature. The fan was shipped in the manufacturers box, without an outer box to protect it. The box arrived open at the top.
