Holmes Bionaire Micathermic Element Console Heater

This is the second I have bought-they heat the room SO well but do not get really hot on the outside so they are safe to touch. I don't need to worry about my kids touching them so i can use them in their rooms

This heater is great. Very steady and heats up fast. It seems to heat the room well, is easy to move around. I would recommend this heater to anyone.

Sucks up too much energy.

I like these so much better than traditional space heaters, and it's hardly weighs anything. We have it heating about 500 sq. ft, and keep having to turn it down or off. Great heat, no noise.

I live in a small 2 bedroom duplex, and while i live in an area who's climate never drops below freezing, it does a great job of keeping the whole house warm and comfortable, I no longer turn on the big heater, as this one keeps things quite warm, It is quiet, and has never got to a point where it was too hot to touch,

We have 3 of these heaters in our home and use them to supplement our heat pump. We have not had to use our big unit near as much this year and have been very comfortable with the Holmes Bionaire's. One we leave on in the basement all the time and it seems to keep our home perfect. The other two we spot use as needed on real cold days.

Have had one of these heaters for a few years we keep it on low in a closed "warm room". I was happy to find them at o this year as we wanted a backup spare. Good service

I did not like this element because of its slow heating technology requiring considerable 'POWER ON' time. I was disappointed at the engineering as it warms up its surroundings by only 1-2ft away vertically and horizontally. I must point out that we don't turn on the central heat system in our one bedroom apartment because we are sensitive to the high PG&E bills. So my husband and I decided to try the micathermic heater as the solution for our living room and bedroom . Unfortunately, it requires an estimated running time of 24 hours or more to get our home warm which might instead raise our utility bill significantly. Frankly, our living room did not warm up at all. I am happily returning this item. But I may recommend it for homes using a central heating system in addition to a Bionaire space heater. Loved this heater - no fan and noise and it does a great job. It also warms up quickly, then you can set to low and desired heat.
