I Googled and found that convection oil electric heaters are the most cost effective. I have 2 ceramic, and two infrared heaters already. My home is a very large two story finished basement rambler in WA. Over 400 sq ft w vaulted cielings and uncovered transit bay view windows that let out all the heat, even wirh double pane. So, since other reviews said that this heater heats a LG space and some complained it gets TOO hot, I wanted this one! I have the heater turned off and only heat the rooms we are in. I Do NOT want to be rolling around heaters. This one simply required opening the box at my door, putting on the wheels, which took me 10 min, and plugging it in! It keeps my front entry, office with one of the French doors closed, formal living room and dining rm and entry to kitchen comfortably warm! I highly recommend it. I got the black one and it looks good in a modern setting on hardwood floor.
