This headboard arrived nicely wrapped inside its box to prevent marring. All parts were attached to the back of the headboard, including an extra set of bolts. Instructions were provided but insufficient detail was included (with poor graphics) to allow user to determine proper order for washers when attaching headboard to bed frame. No tools needed; allem wrench and small bolt wrench are included. Queen-size headboard was easy for 1 person to install. Fabric is nice looking and neatly finished on the back, and headboard is definitely more comfortable to lean against that the wall. Headboard attachment to bed frame (steel legs of headboard) are slightly wimpy for the application, making the headboard rather more movable than desirable. Should not be an issue if headboard is backed by a wall, but headboard will likely bend backward if it has no posterior support. Adjustable height on headboard is useful for accommodating normal-profile vs. extra-thick matttresses.
