Seems like a beautiful futon once assembly is done. The shame of it is assembly should have taken less than half the time. The problem is the instructions are unclear, poorly organized, and overly convoluted. Regarding the actual quality; the wood seems solid and the mattress is comfortable. Hopefully the quality matches its appearance and I get at least 5 good years out of it, after all its not exactly a budget college dorm futon. Again I'm pretty good at putting things together and I had help, but once it was done it was clear assembly could have been much easier. If not for the poor instructions I probably would give this futon a 5 stars and I almost gave it 3. Think of all the time that could be saved assembling these futons if Somette spent a few bucks more and hired someone who can write clear step by step instructions with quality illustrations. What a stupid thing to skimp on it ruins part of the experience of getting new furniture.
