This is a pretty, sturdy shelf. My husband put it together for me and he said it was a nightmare.

It came in 2 boxes and when I opened them up there were so many pieces to put together. It took my husband a little over an hour to assemble, so not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Everything was packed great and not one piece was damage from shipping. It looks great in the entryway. I couldn't be happier with the finished product.

The final output was decent. I had someone from task rabbit come to assemble it. It took them 4 hrs and one piece was still not aligned. The tasker only charged me for 2 hrs but it was a pain to assemble and once assembled it was not perfect. Had assembly been under 2 hrs and had all shelves been aligned as they should I would have given this 5 stars.

I love these shelving units. they look great and are very heavy. I put 2 together and once you get it organized its pretty smooth sailing! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that its particle board. Other than that they are great and I get a ton of compliments on them!

After reading reviews I was scared to put this together by myself but it's amazing and was a lot easier than expect does take a couple hours though

I love it but then I didn't have to put it together! My husband, who is a genius at this stuff said like others, throw out the instructions since they have little to do with this cabinet. He put together the boxes first but you still have to be careful watching every piece because in order for the holes to line up you have to assemble them in the correct order. Some of the screws aren't long enough so be prepared for that. There aren't enough stickers to cover the screw holes so cover the most obvious areas first- like where you may not place a book and leave it showing because of decor. It took him about 9 hours but he glued it with wood glue (Elmers would work too)as he went because we wanted it to remain in good shape if we moved it. I could never do this but he has the engineer brain and patience that it takes. It saves you $600 from buying from another store.

It's a beautiful shelf, but VERY difficult to assemble. it came with all the parts (except not enough woodgrain stickers to hide the screws) and the individual boxes were not too hard, but attaching the layers of shelves was very difficult since the holes did not all line up.

They were a little tricky to put together but work great for our stone samples

I am thrilled with the way this item looks. Quality is good for particleboard/veneer. I am using the unit as a hanging bookcase- suspended on the wall using 6 L-brackets. Other reviews note poor assembly instructions consisting of incorrect info and only photos. I took the time to review the instructions and paid attention to details, and the assembly went smoothly and took 2 solid hours using a power screwdriver. Some of the screws stripped the particle board, so it is nice to have a few extra screws handy. Also, the spacers are held together with staples and two staples had come out- have a good industrial stapler available. Finally, have a bottle or wood glue handy as the kit comes with enough for just a few pieces. Summary- Looks great, not terrible to assemble IF you pay attention and take your time (A>B, etc.) AND have wood glue, a wood stapler, and some spare screws available. You will be pleased.

I;m pretty handy but the directions were wrong and one of the layers of shelves sticks out more than the others. Still looks pretty good though, maybe a bit overpriced.

Everything arrived in great condition. Assembly was a bit confusing but we did it and it looks great.

This is a gorgeous piece in the picture. But when it arrived, I was so disappointed. The structure is flimsy and the material is very cheap looking/feeling. The screws are exposed and they were not all the same size. Im beginning to think, that ordering furniture from Great Offer Stock is a bad idea. And I am a huge supporter of Great Offer Stock. But we have wasted out money on our last 2 furniture purchases.

Firstly the directions are label wrong. My arrived which damage to the fake wood. Please don't waste your time and money

Its a great shelf, very sturdy.... that being said. the instructions are ridiculous. its all pictures, hard to tell what is going on, one of the boards was on backwards, it makes it look like the holes should be on the other side of the board when it just doesnt fit that way.... basically the instructions SUCK. but its very pretty once put together. its not as tall as i thought it would be but it works.

This is a beautiful piece but very difficult to assemble when directions are vague. By trial and error I finally did get it together although having the numbers on all pieces and a detailed instruction sheet instead of pictures that are hard to interpret would have cut this 18 hour job into 3-4 hours.

If these shelves came assembled, I'd probably give them a 5/5. If you're patient, these are really fantastic quality for the price. Definitely a massive step up from what I expected. Sturdy. Very nice looking. No shake. I could see these lasting a very long time. And they're exactly the same color as they look in the picture. But holy heck, are the instructions absolute garbage. The single worst experience putting together furniture I've ever had. Set aside an afternoon, and do not trust the directions. I highly encourage you to focus on what your end goal is, and do some of it by eye. The instructions that came with my kit were backwards on just a few of the steps, which screws the whole process up. If you just use the finalized picture for reference, you'll have much better luck.

I love this bookcase! It looks great with books, DVDs, photo albums in the various openings.

This open bookcase is functional and unique. The color was exactly as depicted in the picture. I bought two and I'm glad I did since they are no longer available. Would definitely recommend.
