I've had this for a week now and love it. Assembly took me about 15 minutes (single woman) total. One of the easiest assemblies I've had - all you need is a screwdriver. I did get my daughter to help move it out on the patio. It's not heavy, just awkward to carry by yourself if you're small. The door panel was dinged in a couple of places at the very bottom and I was initially going to have them replace it, but once it's hung, I can't even see it. I did replace the lava rocks with a 10lb bag of 1/4" azure reflective fire glass. The instructions for the fire pit said I needed 14.5 lbs of glass, but 10 covers it just fine.
Ok, now for lighting this thing...there are very detailed instructions included on both the manual and on the back of the front door of the fire pit. It just wouldn't light for me using these instructions, so I called the customer service number on the manual and they walked me through a different process. They were super helpful and I had zero hold time on the phone. I only had to go through this "priming" process once and the fire pit has lit easily with no problems since. One thing to note is that you don't open the propane tank very much at all when you use it.
I didn't give this 5 stars because the top of the fire pit came with scuff marks from shipping and I had to buy a steel polisher to buff them out myself. It just didn't make sense to return the whole thing and it worked fine for me and looks great now. The fire pit puts out a decent amount of heat but you have to be sitting pretty close to it. I really like the edge around the pit to put plates, cups, prop your feet, etc. I've had a ton of compliments already and the patio is now our favorite hangout spot. I would definitely recommend this fire pit. It's at the low end price-point for fire pits but it doesn't look like it and it works great for chilly Colorado evenings.
