This stand was easy to assemble. All the parts (including screws and bolts) were numbered with a peel off label. The numbered labels matched the numbers on the instructions, so that made the installation a breeze. The illustrations were also easy to follow. Those always help for those who tend to understand more the visual aspect of assembling than only verbal instructions. It still took me a good hour and a half or so. And it helps if you get someone to help with the assembling.
The color was not as bad as i thought, but it did have a green undertone or cast to it. On some parts of the stand it was more noticeable, but it definitely didn't bother me at all.
I was looking for a tv stand that wasn't bulky like my last entertainment center. And this was a perfect choice for my small living room and 32" LCD. I even had room to put candles on both ends. Also it fits my cottage decorating scheme quite well.
Be warned first middle shelf doesn't have back opening for wires. You'll have to drill your own if you need to send wires to the outside of stand. That wasn't an issue for me because I used the second middle shelf to place the dvd player in there.
So far I'm loving it and am happy about this purchase.
