Great set for the money! Wanted a one-handed set but didn't want to pay Williams-Sonoma prices...this fits the bill perfectly! For daily use at mealtime, they're fine. I can see how do you have a family of teens or younger children who may not be so careful, they won't hold up as well as the expensive sets, but for my money these are fantastic!

Nice Addition to Table These grinders work very well. Would have given 5 stars but loading the batteries the first time is a bit difficult (the components do not separate easily when new) and instructions on this are not clear, so concerns over damaging the device when opening existed. But once they are inserted the first time, subsequent battery installation was easy.
