I replaced a Duraflame that stopped working after 5 yrs. Initially I purchased a cheaper Duraflame on Great Offer Stock but I returned it and spent $40 more on this one and it's worth every penny. The remote works great, being able to adjust the temp's and set a time is so convenient. The heat blows out from the top part of this stove, unlike my old one, where the heat blew out on the bottom so the heat was not circling around the room like it does with this one. Also, this one has a auto-safety shut off, my old one, and the 1st replacement did not. This makes me feel much safer. I wanted a white color but since only black was available, I ordered black, and it has grown on me. The flame is also excellent and adjustable. I would highly recommend this particular Duraflame electric stove to anyone. It's well worth spending a few extra dollars.
