Pretty thin, but serves the purpose This won't make your feet sink into a thin rug, but it serves the purpose- it has a rubber-like bottom and a fabric top so the rug sticks to the fabric and the bottom doesn't slide across the floor.

Not going anywhere This pad is two sided and one really grips the rug. When the two have settled into each other, we are hoping they will lay very flat and there will be no shifting. since it will be under a king bed, we probably didn't need such a hefty pad as the rug is very heavy itself.
