We have had another Hammock chair for several years that we purchased at an Arts and Craft fair in our local town. Enjoyed it very much over the years and the grandkids would race to be the first one in it when they came to visit! I enjoyed it especially at the end of a long day when I could sit, relax, enjoy a good book, etc while looking out on our backyard surrounded by forest and waterfall. After trying for some time to find another hammock chair, I came across this one on Great Offer Stock. com. Was overjoyed and immediately ordered it. So glad I did. It is very similar to the one we already had and for half the price! The quality is amazing and love the color! We ordered the Blue one. Now the kids do not have to fight over who gets the Hammock chair! I highly recommend looking at this one if you are considering such a purchase.
I have owned several of these chairs, I live in Florida, so it stays outside all year long. They usually rot in about a year (ropes). This appears to have nylon ropes, so I'm hoping it will last longer (since it isn't cheap). One important item, it is rather long, I had to retie it, you can't take out the original knot after you sit in it and now it is the right height from the ground. However, the top wood dowel is so wide (wider than standard) than I can't turn around in my metal swing holder. Also, the dowel 'holder' are strange, if you aren't careful, the dowels can pop out. It happened the first time that I sat in the chair, maybe with time, the holder stretch to fit and it will not happen.
It is my favorite outdoor chair. It is so comfortable.
Hung this hammock chair from a tree in the back yard overlooking our creek. Very relaxing. Easy set up. Straps are in the right place although the arm supports could be a bit wider. Versatile support for feet and legs. Height easily adjustable for different sized family members. Several thoughtful touches such as a drain hole to prevent water accumulation when it rains and an adjustable cup holder.
This is a very comfortable and sturdy little hammock chair. It is made with thick material and is very well crafted. The seat itself is very deep, but the arm rests are still surprisingly functional. I dont love the foot rest. It is small and could use some padding. The wooden finished bars are very solid and strong. My husband is a big guy (6'4" 275 lbs) and is very comfortable in this chair. We chose to hang it from a tree branch and our kids swing in it every day. I prefer to sit and rest after I'm done gardening. I recommend this chair. It's great for a cat nap. You can't beat it for the price.
I wish this product worked for my setting, but it's just too long to fit on my hanging apparatus. I had an existing metal frame that used to hold a birdcage chair and I was hoping that this hammock chair would fit in it's place. Unfortunately, the poles that maintain the chair's shape prevent me from raising it high enough to not drag on the ground when hooked onto the chair frame. Sadly, I'll be returning it but the quality is excellent and the details/finish work are superb.
I have had1 of this type chair before, and just loved it. I would take a nap in it every day. As soon as my new windows are installed the chair will be hung up. And i can go back to sleeping in my FAVORITE Chair. I am a very happy woman to have bnought this chair from Great Offer Stock.com
To start, I'm a big boy, 6'4" 310lbs and this fits perfectly. I was able to set this up in the dark, so if you're doing it in the daytime (recommended) you shouldn't have any issues. Someone mentioned something about the beverage holder, I just use it to keep my cell phone in. Someone mentioned the arm dowels getting in the way, but the solution is to move your butt toward the edge of the seat. When I do that, my arms slide under them with no issues. Both side ropes are adjustable, but if you let it hang too far, your footrest will be too high, so might need to play with it here a little. There's a lanyard on the rear support ropes, so you can adjust how far it reclines. Overall I would highly recommend it!
Ok so here is the bad thing about this chair. I hung it from a tree and when it rains the water collects between the 2 pieces of canvas. Not sure how it gets in. But once it gets in there it does not leave unless I tip it up and squeeze it out. Don't hang it out in the weather and you will be good.
I started out with a set of Hammaka chairs that look identical to this. When they faded I decided to get 4x of these, 2x to replace the ones in VA and two for a house in PR. All Four failed in the same place at roughly the same time. The seat where the seam comes together ripped. All stay outside two are uncovered and two are covered. The covered ones get Lots of sun but no rain. The uncovered ones rain but little sun. The right side of both ripped at the seat on the first layer of canvas. Almost looks like the two layers were not put together correctly. The wooden dowels Need to be re-sealed. I put 10x coats of poly on them and they are still in perfect shape.
i would only recommend this since it appears that all these swings are made like this now - the chair that we did have had excellent quality but we could not find it anywhere - now the chairs are made with less material and the arms are not as comfortable. this chair performs its purpose however, you can sit anytime and enjoy a beautiful day. the material is sturdy and they have added a drain hole in the seat so that water does not sit in it (very good improvement) - all in all, nice chair but I wish they were still made the way they were 10 years ago, such is life
We've had many versions of these chairs, most good, some poor. These are the good ones. They have the support on the back ropes that allow the chairs to maintain the position once you set it.
I was looking for something for my front porch, so I needed it to be both attractive and comfortable. This was one of the few I found online that I thought could work in my space AND my budget. I received it in the expected amount of time, although I have to say that what arrived in the mail surprised me. Both ends of the box were torn off -- which I originally assumed was damage during transit and just counted myself lucky that all the pieces were intact -- but then I realized that this chair had clearly been owned/handled before. It was in good shape, but everything that required tying or attaching during assembly (according to the instructions) was already done. I was a bit disappointed at that realization but plowed ahead -- and I'm glad I did! As I was assembling it, I couldn't believe it would actually hold someone's weight. It's a genius design though and although there are no permanent connections between the poles and the ropes, it's very sturdy. I weigh 185 lbs and feel completely supported in it. The arm and foot rests are a really nice touch and go a long way to make this feel like a piece of real furniture. It's extremely comfortable and pretty attractive in an outdoorsy way. Plus, it's easy to move in the event of bad weather. I would definitely recommend it.
We use our chair every summer day. We don’t use the foot rest thing because it cuts into her ankles but the chair in the arm rest are great uncomfortable. It’s high-quality.
This chair is so comfy my husband & I fought over it-I ordered another to rectify the situation!
Not only are these swing chair comfortable but they make you feel like a kid again. It is so nice to relax out back in the breeze while sitting in a chair hanging out of a tree. Too cool. Much like a hammock but better to use for a few friends hanging around after a barbeque.
I am glad I found this on Great Offer Stock. Good chair and was really easy to set up. It also arrived quickly. I give it a 5 star and would recommend this chair to anyone who loves lounging in the afternoon!
I'm leaving this review only because I noticed another review that said these are very hard to assemble. Are you kidding me? The chair itself is one piece (the seat and ropes are sewn together) You take the wooden poles and prop them into their holders. It literally takes 5 minutes if that to put together.
I love my hammock and use it all the time. I had to order the hardware to mount it (which I had forgotten to do), but once I had that it was easy to install and done in minutes. The chair is comfortable, though takes some getting used to in order to get out gracefully. The foot rest is easily adjustable to the height you need. Love my chair and it was perfect for my porch. The little ones who visit love to swing in it and spin as well.
I had one before and loved it and this one is identical
