I am what I like to call "pleasantly plump," which really just means that I am very heavy. I was worried about buying a memory foam mattress because I was afraid that I would just sink down to the bottom of it and be sleeping on an inch of foam over my boxspring. I was also concerned that it would not be able to hold up as well as a traditional mattress. We had an old, but expensive, Sealy mattress, and it was killing my back and my knees. I had enough and decided to try this mattress in soft (even with my concerns, I did not want it too firm). What a difference!!!! I sleep better, and I don't have the back and knee pain that I used to have. Also, my concerns about the mattress not being strong enough to hold me was completely unfounded, as I have been sleeping on this thing for a month now, and I have never sunk down too far. I feel like I am sleeping on air. Also, as many have already said, it is soooo easy to get this up to your bedroom as it comes looking like a giant Tootsie Roll when you get it. I removed my old mattress, which was very difficult, and put this one on my bed, opened it, and removed the wrappings all by myself!!!. I am so happy that I got this mattress, and you will most likely be too if you decide to buy it.
Purchased Comfort Dreams Select-A-Firmness 11-inch Memory Foam Mattress for our king size mattress. It makes our bed so comfortable. Highly recommend.
Love this mattress ! No pressure points....no motion. Sleeping better than ever.
Having purchased an identical 11-inch mattress last year but in a different size (full), I knew what to expect in terms of firmness. Initially, when you purchase a firm mattress, it is indeed firm, firm, but gradually softens up over time (my identical mattress is a year old) to be firm but comfortable. So if you preference is for a firm mattress, do indeed go with your gut and order firm. I feel that this mattress can be made substantially better if it used a 2 pound base layer instead on a 1.5 lb base layer. I would have gladly paid up to $40 - $50 in a twin size (or $60 - $75 in a full size) for that as it would have placed the mattress in a "premier" category. I purchased this mattress for a twin guest platform bed. The platform sits 12 inches from the floor . Together with this 11 inch mattress, the total mattress height from the floor is 23 inches (12 inches + 11 inches), which is too high for my liking. In retrospect, had I taken overall height into consideration, I would have only purchased an 8 inch mattress rather than a 11 inch mattress. This mattress is made by Anatomic Global and is branded by Great Offer Stock as Comfort Dreams. It is made in the U.S.A. and this scores extra points from me. The mattress comes in a wonderful washable mattress cover. The bottom side of the mattress cover is made of a material that is designed not to skid on the bed. Before buying this mattress, I compared it to several others including ones offered by the largest retailer in the world and researched reviews on the web site: sleepinglikethedead . One factor that influenced me is that researchers in the sleepinglikethedead review concluded that this mattress (unlike other memory foam mattresses) does not "sleep hot". In my case, this is indeed the case as I have not experienced feeling hot sleeping on it. Also note that the Anatomic Global web site indicates that their memory foam has an "open cell" structure that does not trap or release heat. This mattress offers good value for the money and free shipping is a big plus. The biggest satisfaction of course is not having to pay the ridiculous prices charged by retail stores. For years, they were able to get away with overpriced mattresses. Thankfully, now greatofferstock.com and other on-line retailers, can squeeze out the air from the mattress (vacuum seal) and then ship it in a convenient package at a reasonable price.
Having worked as a manager at a major national mattress store I know what to look for in a mattress. I was sold on the concept of memory foam a long time ago. So when our coil mattress started to not provide a good night's rest I decided to purchase a memory foam mattress from Great Offer Stock. I have always said quality is better than price, but having purchased a few larger items from Great Offer Stock I was willing to try a mattress. Keep in mind even the "soft" memory foam will not feel as soft initially as your typical pillow top or plush coil mattress. That is just the way memory foam works instead of pillowing you it cradles. We purchased the medium 11" memory foam mattress. We sleep wonderfully. We are both side sleepers but sometimes find ourselves sleeping on our backs with no discomfort and less flipping and flopping around. I recommend getting the mattress ready in the same room you are going to place it, air it out a bit, walk all over it to break it in (that's what we did in the stores!) and then go to bed. Overall = Great comfort, great price, fast delivery, great packaging and nice looking product!
We bought this for our guest room, but now plan to sleep on it ourselves for a week (just to make sure) and likely will replace our Serta with another Comfort Dreams memory foam. I have fibromyalgia, and the memory foam mattress reduces my pressure points so much that when I sleep on it, for the first time in YEARS, I can wake up without pain. That's pretty huge.
We ordered this mattress because we needed to replace our old pillow-top innerspring mattress, and we had decided to try a memory foam type. The value compared to the best known brand, is incredible! The quality couldn't be better. We had read many of the prior reviews and decided to select the medium firmness. It was completely comfortable from the first night. ( There was no smell at all associated with it.) Neither of us needed a break-in period to become used to it. This bed is so comfortable that you really do look forward to the feeling of gentle support you get for every part of your body. It feels good all the time, in every position. It was delivered in less than a week, in a tightly rolled cylinder. It proved easy to slide into the bedroom and onto our innerspring foundation ( which was still in fine shape). We took the advice of one of the reviewers and opened the mattress roll on the bed. The mattress easily emerged, and it was a simple matter just to slide it exactly where we wanted it. It actually wasn't as heavy to move around as our old pillow-top mattress. There is minimal feeling of transfer of motion from one side of the bed to the other. (The more layers you put on the mattress, the more motion-transfer you may feel. We put on a waterproof mattress protector and a lightly quilted mattress pad which we had used on our old mattress. Even with these, there is very little-to-no transfer of motion.) This is simply the most comfortable bed we have ever owned and we would recommend it without reservation to anyone.
Wanted to wait a month or so until I wrote thisÂ… So with that said I can tell you this bed will get rid of all your achy pains you used to wake up with. ItÂ’s pretty firm. IÂ’m glad I got the medium and not the firm. Smell dissipated in 2 days and started sleeping on it in 3. Fantastic mattress for the price. The only difference between this $400 mattress and a $2500 TempurPedic mattress is the price, the logos and only a slightly better forming foam. Top 2-inch layer of 3.5-pound memory r vs the top 3 inch layer of 4.1-pound foam you get with TempurPedicÂ…All this means is that the foam holds itÂ’s shape around your body a little longer. Only issue is that it sleeps kind of hot, but then again all memory foam if not the cooling gel kind. DO buy this if itÂ’s your first memory foam mattress! Also if you do your research you will learn there are only a handful of memory foam producers in the world. The majority that make the foam for the brand names here in the US are also made in chinaÂ…the bed maybe assembled and made here, but the foam is most likely sourced from china.
I've had a memory foam mattress I bought from the 'O' perhaps three years ago that was deinitely not this brand, nor can find any name on it but it definitely served it's purpose and still is a usable queen mattress but there's nobody in Townhouse that needs a mattress so dragged my old one down to storage area as it's fine just not firm enought for me. I am a recenlty disabled veteran with plethora of health issues to incl. peripheral neuropathy, which memory foam really helps with. I needed a firm bed and my best friend up in Cleveland still has his "Famous Maker" Orig. memory foam bed after ten years and it's the firmness I orig. sought with first bed. Since that time I know more in what to shop for and this bed is ONLY bed that has a 4 LB density layer and another 3 LB density layer in FIRM that is exactly as my friend's high bucks one! Yes, I went with the FIRM Queen size even after reading ALL the hundreds of reviews because those that WANTED a really REALLY FIRM mattress LIKED this Comfort Dreams in the FIRM; not finding it too firm. I absolutely love it! It is made VERY WELL because I unzipped some of the cover to look at interior and the stiching and even the interor foam layers are protected by yeat another covering, making me believe that this may be last bed I ever need to buy. It was packed very well but not like a steam roller had compressd it as my three year old bed looked when first unpacked it. You can tell that even the base/supportive layer is much more dense. The surface is perfectly firm for me being a solid 260 LB man from years of working out and hard work in military. My old memory foam bed DID kind of wrap a bit around me in it's softness and that was too soft for me. You also are supportin people without beds as in Haiti when buying this bed, which was a pleasant surprise to read about. Buy this bed, whatever your firmness needs are; it's a great investment. Let the Wall Streeter's pay for the big buck brands--we all know they are foolish with money anyway--WE ae the one's laughing all the way to the bank on this one!
This mattress comes in several different firmness options - we ordered the soft option as many of the reviews state that even the medium felt very firm. I'm very small framed and lightweight with neck and back injuries, my husband is built like a tank so if he rolls around in the night on our old bed (a pillow top spring mattress) it jostled me like crazy. I woke up in pain and feeling like I didn't get any sleep. DECOMPRESSION: The mattress decompressed rapidly, but because some reviewers stated it had an odor (I did not notice any) I let it decompress for a full week and air out. No odor and the mattress decompressed to a very full 11 inches. FIRMNESS: Like other reviewers state, the soft IS firmer than you'd expect, but the memory foam doesn't poke you or put pressure on your joints as you sleep the way a spring mattress does. I still put an egg crate memory foam topper on it since I like a very soft bed - this made if feel like I was sleeping on a cuddly cloud, and did not aggravate my injuries at all. MOTION TRANSFER: I did not feel my husband toss or turn at all last night. This is nothing short of a miracle, as prior to this, I'd feel it if he scratched his arm on our old mattress. It would literally shake me on my side of the bed. I jumped on the mattress (I had to, it was in the name of science) and there was NO transfer to the rest of the bed. I wasn't expecting that on a mattress of this price. QUALITY: The mattress feels very solid, not at all cheap, decompressed to it's full size and is impressive in it's cancelling of motion transfer even with a larger sized person on it. It has a cover that encloses the whole mattress but zips off so you can launder it if you choose. While you cannot flip it over (it's only negative) you can still rotate it to ensure even wear. It felt just as good as the much more expensive name brand mattresses I laid on in the mattress store, and was less than half the price. SLEEP QUALITY: For the first time in I don't know how long, I slept well. I actually woke up feeling well rested and I wasn't horrible sore or stiff like I had been on our old spring mattress. My neck and back - amazingly - feel loose. My husband said he slept well too, and judging by how cheerful he is this morning, he got a good nights sleep too. CONCLUSION: Buy the next softness down when it comes to firmness unless you prefer a very firm mattress, but overall this is an excellent quality memory foam mattress at an unbeatable price. I'm very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this mattress.
This Comfort Dreams Select-A-Firmness 11-inch Queen-size Memory Foam Mattress was the best purchase I have ever made. I purchased the Medium Firmness. It is so comfortable. My friend had purchased a similar memory foam mattress and he recommended that I check out Great Offer Stock.com. It was an easy purchase. When you receive your mattress you will wonder how it can be shipped as you receive it.
The ratings chart here doesn't really do this mattress justice, but the pricing as of the July 3 2014 sale does! I bought mine, in "Firm", almost three years ago, in October 2011, and, with the help of a Serta 4" Memory Foam mattress topper (which has been WONDERFUL, just PLEASE, BUY A COVER TO PROTECT IT - unlike me : \ ), this memory foam mattress is holding up beautifully! And, right now, this mattress is fiftyfive bucks LESS than it was when I bought mine nearly three years ago! Granted, it's a little hard to tell exactly how comfortable the Firm Comfort Dreams mattress itself is, but after I bought my first memory foam mattress and topper, there's no WAY I'll EVER go back to a regular mattress! I have slept like a BABY on my memory foam mattress and topper, and both have held up well over the years! This mattress comes enclosed in a cover, which is WONDERFUL, because that's exactly what's needed to extend the life of anything memory foam! I wish I'd realized that years ago, in fact, when I first bought my 4" Serta topper, because the tears that have developed in it are the ONLY reason why I'm looking to replace it now. All it takes is a slight rip when you're shifting that topper around, and you're done. Those rips grow exponentially, to the point where my entire elbow sinks into what was once a tiny rip. That rip now goes the full depth of my topper, and is a good five inches long. Had I thought to buy a cover for my mattress topper, I expect I would've gotten another two or three years out of it, at least. In the meantime, back to this mattress, though. It's always provided great support to me, and, while I hesitated on the density when I bought it, I think the "Firm" is the best bang for your buck. The weight of each layer is the highest value out there, and I expect will prove the most durable. If you're concerned about the comfort level, just do what I did, and get a separate topper to go on your bed. Being just over 200 pounds, and an average height of 5' 6", I'm a somewhat heavier woman, but the 4" topper and this mattress have held up beautifully for me over the years. They're both just as comfortable today as they were the day I received them. I've also never experienced any issues with odors or fumes from the memory foam, and while I tend to be hot-natured, both have proven comfortable for me over the years. While the topper may not necessarily have been "cooling", I also don't feel that it has reflected my own body heat back on me. Memory foam: the best thing I've ever put on my bed. Just be sure you protect your investment with covers for each layer. They'll definitely extend the life of your sleeping components, and help you get your full money's worth! ; )
Having owned a (King size )temper-pedic mattress, for over 11 years. I was very happily surprised as to the excellent quality and comfort of this specific product. I would highly recommend it, to anybody that is interested in a mattress that , in my opinion, is as good as a Temper-Pedic.
Ok, so I spent a whole bunch of time a few weeks ago researching and reviewing the memory foam mattress here on Great Offer Stock and many other places. I have limited funds and need a really good bed because of back problems, so buying online was definitely stressful and made me anxious. I read all the reviews of all of the mattresses. The good reviews made me feel confident about making a choice, but then the bad reviews (no matter how few there were) would sort of shatter that confidence. So it took me a while to decide. SO ANYWAY: I want to leave a review that people can trust, not one that is swayed by "loving" or "hating" the product. First about me: I am 6ft2, female, 24 and having chronic back pain. The bed I sleep on has always made a huge impact on my quality of life because of the back pain. So yeah, this choice was important to me. Anyway, I chose this mattress in the end because of two reasons: 1) There was a staggering number of good reviews. Very good reviews. And even though the bad reviews did freak me out I decided to take a chance on it because also 2) I read up on what makes a good memory foam mattress. The foam density, the height, and they design of the layering of this mattress were all great indicators that this would be a good bed. So I bought the bed. It arrived two days ago. I had a hard time keeping my boyfriend off it for 24 hours. It popped up straight away. We waited probably 36 hours before sleeping on it. I researched the wait time as well and this seemed fine. From the first night of sleep I can say I actually do love this bed. I bought the medium firmness and it is perfect for me. No sore side in the morning, or legs and ankles. My back will take some time, but I think it feels better already. But seriously, sinking into that thing (not much, but just enough) feels so good and waking up on it even better. The smell was really strong when I first opened it, but I opened my window and put on the overhead fan and the smell was gone in a day. At least, I didn't notice it when lying on it at all last night. I know this is only one night's worth of review, so I will update in a few weeks then again in a few months and then again in a year. Get you guys a good, trustworthy review from someone who is exceptionally picky about these things. TL;DR I am picky and I did my research and this is a good bed to buy for such a low price.
First, I read some reviews stating this is nothing like their name brand thousands of dollars worth mattresses. I have no idea if that opinion holds true or not, because I will never own a mattress that pricey, no matter how good it is. I can say this is the best mattress I've ever slept on, period. I bought the firm option, queen size. My husband and I prefer hard like a rock mattresses. Even though this mattress was firm, it isn't hard like sleeping on tile floors. It is still soft and comfortable, and squishy. The memory foam layer on the top of the mattress is the same on each firmness option. It is the bottom layer of foam that changes. The firmer it is, the more supportive it is, you wont be rolling or squishing into the other person while sleeping. Hardly any motion transfer, quiet, no bad smell once opened for 20-30 minutes (the smell on mine was more from being wrapped in plastic), and was full size expanded within an hour. As long as this mattress is made, we will only own these. Awesome, just plain comfortable awesome!
Mattress is comfortable. I love getting in bed, hate getting out of it. Size was spot on, it's actually a Queen Size. Memory foam is comfortable, not too soft. I'm no memory foam expert, but I also don't need a $2000 memory foam mattress when this memory foam is firm enough. I weigh 140 pounds, so perhaps that's why it works well for me.
I chose this mattress after reviewing all the other memory foam mattresses available. This Select -A-Firmness11 inch foam memory mattress is an outstanding product and a tremendous value. I sleep very soundly and am very comfortable on it. I'm glad I selected the medium firmness as it is just right for me and I weigh 225lb. It took the advertised 24 hrs to reach its shape and there was no smell. I reccommend highly this product
First off.. I am 29 years of age, 6'3 with an athletic build. I love this mattress (bought the medium firmness). I debated for about a month before I took the plunge and bought it. I tested a ton of these types of mattresses around town and didn't want to spend $2300 on one so decided to give Great Offer Stock a try. I read all the reviews and was very worried about clicking the confirm order button even though it got amazing reviews, but those few people who did not like it were sticking in the back of my mind. I have no clue what they were taking about... this mattress is very comfortable and you won't find anything cheaper. I also bought a memory foam topper just in case it was too firm, this mattress is comfortable enough to sleep on without it but I still use it anyway. I would suggest this mattress to anyone!!! Great buy!!!
I've been sleeping on bed for over two weeks and its very comfortable and supportive. Price paid for qualtiy is much better than various mattress stores. Selected "medium" firmness level. For me the next level of firmness would not have been comfortable.
This bed gives great support and works well on a platform. I got the medium, it is just a little more firm than what I prefer, so I added an egg crate layer and then a memory foam topper on top of that. Now it is perfect! It has a pillow top feel with out any pressure point pain from uncomfortable springs like my previous traditional mattress had. I would highly recommend this bed for a great night's sleep.
