The Wall Cabinet is average quality. I probably would not purchase again because the cabinet requires assembly (dowels and glue). My time is worth more than the savings. Home improvement stores sell similar items for about $30-$40 bucks more that are assembled and a bit more sturdy. Cabinet looks cheap inside. The back panel seam is noticeable. If you are budget minded and don't mind the assembly aspect, this may be what you're looking for in a cabinet.
We had trouble finding anything that properly fit in our bathroom when replacing our old medicine cabinet. We loved the look of this cabinet, so decided to give it a try.Installation was pretty easy, but the instructions were a little on the "vague" side of things. But, since it was easy enough to assemble, the instructions merely served as a visual guide when I needed it.The cabinet looks great mounted on the wall, and considering it uses only two screws with anchors to hold it in place, it really is pretty sturdy.A few gripes though:1. The doors are not completely centered with eachother, and are offset just slightly. (this was unavoidable during assembly). It's not that noticeable though, and a minor thing.2. I would have liked to had an additional shelf included. It has the holes for one, but just one shelf.3. Opaque glass would be nice, but that's a preference thing.I just got some Krylon glass opaque spray and went to town. It turned out beautiful. Those minor things aside, we are very happy. It was not expensive, and the finish looks great. It also holds a lot of product.I would recommend this to a friend.
We hung this above the Virgo White 2-door Floor Cabinet by Elegant Home Fashions in our bathroom, and have smaller seashells and shell collectibles displayed in it, larger ones on top of the floor cabinet. They co ordinate very well.
This is a very cute wall cabinet. The sides are decorative and pretty to look at with a recessed panel making it look less plain. One of the doors was slightly off level with the other door but it is still a nice piece for the price. Fits a small space well.
This Cabinet Is A Real Classic. Looks Great With Any Decor. Very Easy To Assemble.
Overall, I am pleased with the cabinet. It arrived very well packaged, with no damage and all parts included. One or two parts were mislabeled, but I quickly figured out that everything was there. For an experienced do-it-yourselfer like me it assembled fairly easily, but might be somewhat challenging to a novice. The main issue was that many of the drilled holes were not aligned properly with the corresponding holes on the other piece of wood. However, I was able to put it all together. I didn't try putting the shelf in the cabinet until it was semi-permamently attached to the bathroom wall, which was when I discovered that the holes for the shelf supports on the left and right sides were not at the same heights. The right side was about 3/16" lower than the left side which means the shelf is a little bit crooked. It's not super noticeable and it would be way too much hassle to return it, so I will either ignore it or add a little shim to the right end of the shelf. The cabinet looks fairly good, but there are a few spots where the painting could have been better. I may touch it up myself and also paint the places where the drilled holes are underneath and inside the cabinet for assembly and mounting screws and also the extra shelf support holes. The cabinet comes with two plastic anchors for drywall hanging, which are okay but I wasn't comfortable using just those, so I drilled another hole in the mounting piece and screwed about a 2-inch wood screw into a stud for extra security. I have now had the cabinet about two weeks and am very pleased to have the extra storage room in the small bathroom and it looks pretty good too.
This was a great way to add additional storage space to the bathroom. It fit perfectly over the toilet and did not stick out of the wall too much.
i really like the design of this product, it is well made and looks great with my decor. It was easy to put up and i thought if I wanted to I could change out the glass or put stick and peel over it because the glass is removable.
I would not feel the need to recommend this because cabinets like this are available at a variety of stores. It is cute and serves its purpose. It was not hard to assemble, however I do have some carpentry skills. There was a problem with the hinge placement on the left door. The right door fit perfectly. I had to remove the hinges on the left door, use toothpicks and glue to fill the old holes, then drill new holes higher up so the door could shut without scrubbing too much at the bottom. This was just aggravating, but I managed to fix it.
My wife and I purchased this cabinet for our first home. Our bathroom was a little small and lacked storage. This cabinet is more than adequate and only took 30 minutes to an hour to build and install total. The instructions are a little vague, but just exercise some common sense. The cabinet looks good finished. My only complaint is that the holes for the door hinges are pre-drilled, but no matter how I tried to adjust one door is slightly angled higher than the other. Negligible but annoying.
This is a good quality cabinet for a great price. I have no complaints. It was a little hard to assemble but once together it looks great. We put it in a small bathroom above the toilet for storage and it looks great. It is good quality and looks like it will last. Go for it!
The cabinet is very attractive and generally well made. However, the holes for the door hinges were not precision drilled and caused one door to hang slightly higher than the other. It does not affect the function of the doors but it is noticeable. I would have returned it but I would have to disassemble the whole cabinet to do so since this was the last step in assembly. It is not an easy fix so I will live with it.
MANY CAVEATS ON THIS. This cabinet is about a half-day project, so buyer beware. It's a nice enough piece for many uses. I needed one in my kitchen with moulding to match what's on the top of my cabinets. I have a small wall next to the coffee pot that needed a cabinet to hold coffee-related things (so I could get them off of my window ledge). This was the right cabinet for the job, but there are quite a few things you should upgrade on your own. Use wood glue to hold the pegs in better. Use "Gorilla" hooks, the largest ones rated for heavy items, if you have to install into drywall without studs. This cabinet is heavier that you think. It only comes with two 10 cent wood screws and a couple of plastic drywall anchors to install it on the wall. This is a joke. Try to install into studs with longer wood screws of your own (or use the hooks as above if no studs are available). Also, you may want to consider adding white caulk around it to further secure it to the wall. I finally got mine up after 8 hours of work, but until I caulk it I will not be totally confident of the installation. The weight of the piece requires better installation hardware.
I bought this for my daughter and her husband. They loved it and it looked very nice in the area they choose to put it. Provided much needed storage space. They told me that it didn't require a lot of work to assemble.
Purchased this wall cabinet for our master bathroom in our condo ~2.5 years ago. Compared to like items, this appeared to be the best deal; Thankfully, it was. Still, the wall cabinet has help up great. I really like the glass front, as 'it isn't too much' (if that makes sense) and easy to clean. Moving into a house soon and will be purchasing another one of these for the basement bathroom.
Excellent quality for the price. The two doors line up well, and all the hardware looks nice. I am very happy with this purchase. Classic, white design that goes well with anything. I would definitely purchase again.
Love this cabinet! I assembled two with ease and no assistance was needed....by the way...I am female and even hung them with no assistance. Talk about easy!! No they are not wood (which I didn't expect by reading the info on it), but by looking at them already assembled you would not be able to tell. Someone spoke of the back being in two pieces...you cannot tell this with the doors closed and items on the shelves. These have really made a big difference in my bathroom. I highly recommend these to anyone who needs a little extra storage or has a husband that likes to clutter the bathroom counter space. This has solved my problem. 5 STARS!!
Was looking for an above toilet cabinet for to fit in a tight space. The cabinet assembly was easy and sturdy. Only criticism would be that the glass is not frosted to conceal bathroom items in the cabinet. Overall just what I was looking for.
Just finished mounting this cabinet today & it looks great & functions great. It is perfect in my bathroom space. A good value for the money. You need to put it together so be prepared for that process. Instructions were clear, but took some time. One of the cabinet doors was cracked, so called & they offered to send replacement part. More importantly, hanging this cabinet was a challenge. The template included did not fit the product. I made my own template, but had to beware that the openings for the mount screws were not level with each other. This could be a real problem if not taken into account as there would be holes in your wall & a cabinet hung crooked. Good product. Beware of the challenges.
I bought this cabinet to hold some of the clutter that was collecting in our bathroom. I needed enough shelf height to hold tall bottles, such as shampoo and hair spray, so I wanted a 2-shelf cabinet and not 3 shorter shelves. It went together in about an hour and it took us almost another hour to hang it properly after lots of measuring. The only disadvantage was the clear glass in the doors that shows all the clutter inside, so I glued some wallpaper behind the glass that matches the shower curtain and draperies in the bathroom. It turned out very cute and totally matches the decor of the room.
