Does the job of keeping the umbrella in the table on windy days, but the black paint has rubbed off in several spots exposing the concrete underneath
Read MoreThis base is very heavy and looks nice. My 9' umbrella sits in the base nicely and is not going anywhere which is what I wanted. The excellent rating is for the product. If I could rate the packaging & transit it would be lower because somewhere in transit, between point A and B, the base was chipped/damaged. The box did not look compromised. I like my stuff to look new so it bums me out. Frustrating! I will probably leave it as it is or use touch up paint rather than go through the hassle of an exchange.
Read MoreVery good for the price. The rounded edges mitigate painful stubbing of toes. Hexagonal shape adds to stability. Still I recommend another 60 lb or so on top of this of you have a 10 or 11 ft umbrella. I got a circular 16 in. nylon umbrella weight that you fill with sand and added to the setup for a total weight of 126 lb.
Read MoreThis umbrella base is really substantial. the weight handles a large patio umbrella with ease. No tipping in windy conditions. It probably will be a bit on the heavy side for some, but it will be worth the effort to have a base with this capacity.
Read MoreI needed a very heavy umbrella base and after lots of research, I went with this one. It is very heavy and it looks decent. My only complaint is the feet. They are plastic and inserted into the underside. The first time I tried to move it outside, two of them broke off. I tried to glue them back but it did not hold. Then a third one just snapped off. Who decided to install small plastic pads on a 66# base? The base and umbrella are out on the patio but the base is not level. The umbrella tilts a little to one side. I need to find something to put under it to make it level.
