This is a cute trunk and a great way to store extra bedding/throw blankets. It's not the BEST quality, but in general as long as it's not treated too roughly, it should be good. One of the rivets popped out the first day I had it, was pretty easy to hammer it back in. The straps and handles are a fake leather-ish material, but they feel quite flimsy. You definitely wouldn't be able to lift the weight of the trunk by the side handles. The trunk itself is solid wood with grey fabric over it. feels sturdy and solid, and looks very sophisticated in my living room.

This thing is bigger than expected! Solid and nice! Keep it at the end of my bed for throw pillows and blankets. It has a vent in it which I believe is for the cedar inside. It doesn't smell weird at all. It's heavy so might need help moving it. The lid locks in place when up so won't smash small fingers.

We purchased two of these to go on either side of our fireplace. We noticed that after a week the lid would not stay open. I also noticed a dime sized snag on the top after we opened it. The second one eventually stopped staying open and now the rivets are popping off. Bummer, I really liked these pieces but I hate feeling like a shabby scrub, especially when we splurged to get these.

I bought this to use as a tack trunk at the farm. It holds all the supplies for my horse like brushes, blankets saddle pads my ridding helmet.... you get the idea. I ride 6 days a week so it's opened a lot. The hinges on the lid didn't last a week so I took them off. The top stays open bc it's propped against a wall. The decorative buckles on the outside have worn well as long as you don't pull on them to open the trunk;) I've had this trunk for a year and it's held up really well. Great buy considering a nice tack trunk goes for $500-$1000.00 !

I would give it five stars. However, the leather handles are cheap. Don't move this item with the handles, they will easily break. That being said, this chest looks amazing. Looks just like the picture.

I like the looks of this trunks and it fits all of the bedding. The hinges on the inside are attached with very small screws and came off immediately after opening and closing the lid a couple of times.
