I gave this item the top rating because it is exactly as shown on the site and the colors are very nice. As the image shows, it has the look of an old poster that was folded at one time (shadowing and creases) and I thought that would bother me but it doesn't at all. The resolution of the image on the canvas is also very good, which I have not always seen on canvas transfer art of this kind. I have an Asian "themed" bedroom and like to bring in elements that are "Asian-esque" versus a strict interpretation of the style. This piece fits *perfectly* in that realm. Excellent quality for the price.
I have purchased 20 oil reproductions. A few have been great, a couple have been bad, and most have been very close to what I expected. I base my expectations on both the picture displayed as well as a picture of the print which can be viewed at any one of a variety of websites. Keep in mind that the print is the exact duplicate of the original and that these paintings are subject to a persons artistic license. in this case that artistic license has been well placed. the frame was spectacular for this canvas. The workmanship was excellent and the artistic license, if any was take, was fine. I would not rate this a being the top first or second out of the 20 I have but it would make the top 5. Nice use of color but the detail onboard the boat could have been a little clearer. Other than that, an excellent rendition of the original.
