I purchased this painting for my living room makeover; however, my walls, being tan, didn't really do justice to the painting. I moved the painting to the adjoining hall between the living room and guest bath. Both rooms are decorated in aquas and neutral tones with pale yellow accents. The white hall wall, with the adjoining aquas and yellows, really made those colors pop in the painting. I used a deep red ceramic candle holder on the bottom shelf of the hall table under the painting to pull in the red bird. Even my husband likes it there. He's not a fan of mid-century, quirky, like I am.
I love it. It makes me smile to see it in the hall across the living room from the chair I use.
