I bought the hood to replace a out of date black hood with rotary knobs. This one has a nice sleek style with 4 halogen bulbs you have to purchase extra. with bulbs on high it lights the whole kitchen. low is more than you need to light the stove top. Well worth the money,

The looks and the fit are great. The fans are quiet ,but the fan switch is horrible. It takes a lot of effort to turn it on and it is a cheap, noisy "clack "sound. Will someone please at Broan please contact me with the price and availability of a new switch. I don't give this switch much longevity. The other item that thoroughly upsets me and every other customer that purchases a $***-$*** range hood just loves to go shopping for lights for their new range hood. All the stores try to sell you " halogen bulbs. For $ 10-15 per bulb. And the life of the bulbs are very short. They are expensive to operate and hot. I went on Ebay and bought 5 LED bulbs( 5500 Kelvin-white light ) for $ 25.00 & free shipping . They work fantastic and l last 30,000 hrs. And cost $5.00 per bulb. Other than the switch and no bulbs, the range hood is great.

Looks great! Quiet fan but powerful! Lights get warm but not an issue as fan is on when lights are....would buy it again

Came on time, was easy to install, fits perfect in space. Was disappointing that the light bulbs didn't come with the hood. Other than the bulbs, I really like this product.

Great range hood. Nice bright light also has a dim light to use at night in kitchen. Works great and is quiet compared to my old range hood.

Never worked right from day one, but after installing it really didn't have the time to uninstall and replace. And there is no way to know if it works until it is installed. It took hours to install because the directions are very poor and the design of the installation is horrible. It was a replacement for one I had and I gave the one I had to my daughter and installed it in 15 minutes. For a non-vented hood the installation should be easy. So now I have a hood that looks nice and shines light on my cook top, but Has a non-functional fan. Dont' buy.

This range hood looks nice and seems to work well. It is quite noisy on the higher setting where I wouldn't want to leave it on for an extended time.

I love it! It's quiet, great lighting and the price was right. My handyman had to do some special wiring for it, but it's worth it!

Easy access to screens for cleaning. Very powerful for removing odors and smoke with none of the bulkiness associated with other range hoods. Only disadvantage is the specialized light bulbs (not included) are very tricky to install. A little suction cup is required, as there are no room for finger-holding the bulbs to screw them in. So far, I've only got the two front ones installed, but this provides plenty of light. Recommend installing the light bulbs FIRST before hanging the vent in place. I got the little suction cup from Amazon with no problem.

I was shocked to see that the box had been opened and found the top of the Broan hood slightly dented. The seller had to have known this and yet they sold it as brand new to me. We decided to go ahead and keep it because it was less noticeable since it was on the top, and we had waited so long and wanted to get it installed and the kitchen back to normal. As concerning the Broan Hood Evolution series 1, this hood is very quiet and and the 4 lights are great for illuminating my cooking surface. I do recommend to friends this hood, however I don't recommend buying from someone who sells items they know are dented!

I am very happy with this range hood it is so quite and it is so sleek looking. This hood also came packaged very well. Overall we are very happy with this product.

This item came with no installation template, no hardware for installation, no screws, no light bulbs, ... I had to pay an electrician an extra $75.00 for installation because he had to make an additional trip with mileage to the hardware store to buy installation hardware.... and it extended over into the third hour... now I don't know where to get the light bulbs and the installation instructions said they were included... so disappointed..

Excellent value compared to Lowes or Home Depot. Works perfectly and looks great. Love it!
