The hood is great! I only wish the lights were LED. The lights get very hot and whatever you do DON'T touch them. The fan works great and has multiple speeds.

We looked at a number of hoods at the local store and we’re told that the Broan Elite is highly regarded for quietness, durability, and value. It looked nice too. High quality and Overstock had the best price by far. Very happy with this purchase. Will add photos once it is installed.

Very powerful with 1500CFM. You can adjust the hood speed and take off panels for cleaning. The only problem is the web site is not so easy to navigate and you need to buy an outdoor hood part that you don't know how to match the internal part. I had to call the tech supports to make sure I buy all parties. The installation must be done by contractor.

Looks great in our new updated kitchen! Works well, sometimes the plastic cover for the vent on the front doesn't stay secured. Would recommend.

It's a nice looking hood but you literally cannot have a conversation if this thing is running. I don't even know why a company would put out a product this noisy.

The exhaust fan is durable, rugged, powerful and illuminates brilliantly once those "very difficult to install" halogen lamps are twisted into place. Those lamps are nearly impossible to install unless the hood is just unpacked from the shipping box. Trying to insert and then twist the lamps into place while being unable to look at where you're working is tough. Installation of the fan definitely requires two people too. It's quite heavy and one cannot mark the screw holes unless someone supports the fan. It would be great in you would supply a paper template to use for marking the holes. Nevertheless, it's a great fan and I would purchase it again.

Love the looks of this but feel like something is not right. My counters are greasy after cooking bacon - feel like it is not venting right - like it is blowing back into the kitchen.

This unit turns on full blast even if I'm just making an egg or heating up soup. It is difficult to enjoy cooking with other people because it is so loud that we can not have a conversation. Once it turns on automatically, you can not turn it off unless you turn off power at the breaker! When you're cooking alone, it blasts on and startles you, which isn't very safe when you're carrying knives, boiling water, etc. I gave it two stars because it works as a blower when it's needed. The low rating is because it's also blowing when it's not needed.

I can't find this in 42" black stainless steel anywhere online or in-store. When will this be available?

LOOKING FOR TWO MONTHS. CANT FIND ONE. BUILD MORE!!

It doesn't make sense placing the lights in the back. In 2020 you are still using old ultra low energy efficiency halogen lights, they produces hot, they are expensive and the waste a lot of energy compare with led technology. Second, placing the lights right back of the hood, in front of the wall it produces a really ugly light spots on the wall (even more with the har contrast produced by halogen lights). And from the point of view of the person who is cooking, the quality of lighting is dire. And I have to say that you have really good products, but we have to be fair, and that lighting design is really bad. I am Director of Photography, Art Director and Engineer, so I consider that I have enough professional criteria to comment. I hope these comments helps you to create a better products.

This is a first class product. Not a bunch of bells and whistles but a strong exhaust fan, bright task lighting and east to clean. Enough said. Highly recommended.

It is wonderful product! Not very loud and exhaust the smell in my kitchen while i cook. And easy to clean!
