This little gem is fast and makes great coffee. Easy to use, stylish and did I mention that it makes great coffee. Now for the downside. 8 cups, need I say more. We downsized from a 12 cup pot and really miss those extra cups. The only other issue is the basket, which becomes a spare part when the coffee is done. I keep a small bowl by the pot to hold the basket when it is not needed. Overall this is the best coffee pot I've ever owned.
Read MoreThe coffee itself is great, no complaints. Fast brew time as well. My issues lie in the design and hardware. To start, there is no beep or sound made when the coffee is finished. My last coffee maker did that, even my mother's $30 coffee maker does that. It's a minor quibble, but I find it a nice touch and I would think fairly easy to implement. Second, the carafe lip design is such that there is an inner lip that prevents all liquid from truly pouring out. So when you clean it with water and pour the water out, some is always retained in the carafe. I find after I've let it "dry" inverted all day, I still have to shake or dry the residual water out. Pretty lame, IMO. Third, I think it's rather clumsy that both the carafe lid and the coffee basket holder are separate pieces. My former Cuisinart (and many others) have both pieces integrated into the overall design, no loose pieces to store/keep track of. The way the Bonavita works, you place the basket holder on top of the carafe, brew the coffee, then take the basket holder off the carafe and screw the separate lid on. Lastly, there is no 'pause-and-serve' feature, FYI. This isn't too big a deal for me, but it should be known.
Read MoreIt is a great and FAST coffee brewer. Carafe keeps coffee piping hot for hours.
Read MoreI have had the moccamaster it was replaced 3 times.none of them with just plain water going thru. Ever went more than 180 degrees. The bonnavita with plain water reached almost 200 degrees
Read MoreThis coffee pot's design does not allow you empty the pot with the pour mechanism attached into your cup. If you want every last drop, you need to take off the top and pretty much turn the pot completely upside down over your cup. And hopefully the coffee will go into the cup and not onto the counter. On a positive note: the thermal carafe does keep the coffee hot for an hour after brewing.
Read MoreI have an earlier Bonaavita model and love it... so, I bought this one for my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas and they love theirs. Makes great coffee!
Read MoreConsistently fantastic coffee is produced. Caraf is wide mouthed and easy to clean. Only negatives are that there isn't a readily-available gold filter, and setting is lost if unplugged. Forget that, though. You need this coffee maker
Read MoreHad this brewer for several months already and really like it. makes coffee fast and taste great. Nothing fancy, just press and brew. the coffee lasts hot for a while in the carafe. Worth the price.
Read MoreI used this coffee maker while visiting my sister up in Northern California. I fell in love the way it makes the coffee, so I bought myself one when I got home!
Read MoreCoffee comes out hotter than our old Cuisinart. 8-cup decanter is perfect size for my wife and I.
Read MoreSo I have taken the brewer out of the box and have ran the 2 pots of clear water through the system. I used my therm-o-pen to measure the temp that would be saturating the grounds. This temperature was between 197 and 203 depending on the stage of brew which is good for achieving a good brew...But in doing so discovered that the sprinkle head which contains 11 holes to saturate the coffee evenly actually only uses 3-4 of these holes creating a very uneven saturation. Because of this I doubt whether the degassing cycle is anything but a sales gimmick.
Read MoreThis brews great coffee even from brand named ground coffee. I used the degassing feature with regular coffee and the brew was so much better that others could not believe it.
Read MoreMine arrived without the gasket that ensures a tight seal between the screw top and the thermos. As a result, every time you try to pour a cup of coffee, you create a flood, all over your counter top, all over your floor. It's not just a few drops that come out of the faulty seal, it is at LEAST as much coffee wasted as coffee consumed. Maybe others have had better luck with this brand, but for me, it has been a complete waste of a LOT of money, a useless item.
Read MoreLove this new pot! Brews lightning fast, hot and full flavored coffee, and the carafe keeps it warm for hours. Exactly what I needed! Not thrilled at the slow pour using the push button lid, but ended up just taking it off to pour and then putting it back on to keep things hot. Highly recommend!
Read MoreWe have tried countless coffeemakers over the years, and this one is by far the best we've had. We use filtered water and good quality coffee, and the result is excellent. It brews it to the right temperature and keeps it hot in the thermal carafe. I like that it uses a basket filter as opposed to a cone one. It is easy to clean and looks good on my countertop as well. You won't be disappointed with this one!
Read Moreworst coffee maker so disappointed
Read MoreGreat coffee maker! Love it!
Read MoreVery simple coffee maker with just one button. Easy to clean. The carafe keeps the coffee warm for an hour or so.
Read MoreMakes delicious coffee. My only wish is that I could make a larger pot (8 cup, not 12 cup capacity), but the taste is well worth a bit more effort in brewing a second pot.
Read MoreHad to replace my old coffee maker and decided on this one, makes a good cup of coffee and the carafe keeps it hot. Not meant to be placed in the dishwasher and the carafe always has a small amount of water in the bottom after hand washing and air drying, even upside down.
