Work of artl? Please. I ordered these because I'm tired of hand-washing china after Christmas dinner. Of the 8 I ordered, 6 had spots around the rim that looked like ink smears. Enclosed with the plates was a piece of paper saying that each plate is "a work of art," each with its own "unique style that can cause slight variations" in color and design. These aren't "slight variations." They're boo-boos that look like ink smears in the same place (in the rim) on all 6 plates. Why not just say they're irregulars and that's why the price (about $ or $ per dinner plate) is so good? I'd feel like I got a pretty good deal rather than hustled. Family coming tomorrow. Plates came today, so no time to send back. Guess I'll turn the lights down and hope guests will cover the spots with food before they realize what they're seeing. There is an upside:
